I'm not wearing out my refresh key but I am checking the garm more this off season than any other in recent memory. I'm not a huge Melo fan but he's a better all around player than Anderson and as long as we're not giving up EG or Ariza I'm good with the move.

you cant announce a trade until the legal as agreed to it and by that time its leaked out hours ago. If they did what you say, it would be anti-climatic since everyone would already know.

i'm starting to think Houston and New York (maybe a 3rd team) had an agreement on a fall-back deal a week ago, and were exploring opportunities to get a better deal for everyone involved. And either they succeeded or are close to succeeding getting that done, or not, but somehow I think there's got to be a fallback option. Just seems like the media has been completely shut out (they're just speculating); meanwhile you are hearing a lot more certainty from the players. It just feels like there have been some assurances made ...somehow.

I'm starting to believe that melo never narrowed his list to Houston or Cleveland. I'm starting to believe he said I will accept a trade to Houston or a buyout and then sign in Houston.

My belief is that harden and cp3 convinced him already to come and it's a matter of time, "wait and see".

Imo, The Cleveland leaks were from new York trying to gain leverage. To which Morey has responded with "Nah, take it or leave it" because he knows from cp3 and Harden it's a lock and Cleveland is not involved.

Essentially, I think Morey has inside knowledge and calling new York's bluff.

 

And it's not announceable until call into League occurs.

why not take your time and explore possible scenarios for a while. the only quasi deadline we have coming up is training camp. he will be gone by training camp
