Ultimately, if they have to, yes. But I don't think it will come to that. Ryan's heading to Portland IMHO.

Harden and Melo share the same tastes?

People keep saying we're at the two yard line but a holding penalty brought us back 10. I think it's more like the sprinklers went off, the play clock got fouled up and the lights suddenly went off. It's just a delay and all these things can be fixed, it just takes time.

Honestly think we should permaban anyone who posts the tweets of fake insiders like that clown Trey Rodriguez. It's a shame journalism is being watered down by morons who plagiarize work from those who actually do their job right. And yet we all fall for it.

ya i don't think they take ryno back when they're better off just keeping capspace next summer. and as far as ryno to POR, we still don't have any idea who's willing to take leonard

How naive does anyone have to be to think Carmelo and the Rockets (err, "representation") haven't discussed that issue yet? FWIW, Paul waived almost all of his to help facilitate his deal here.

    Blue water? GALVESTON?!?!?!!?!?!!?!?!?

And why are you looking at the water in that picture anyway, come to think of it?

EDIT: Just for the record, I, myself, am only guilty of looking at the surrounding scenery because "Galveston" got mentioned. :p

Agreed, amazing how dumb ESPN is when even casual fans understand this. They still think every athlete is only in it for the money. Most of the time that is true but it is obvious Melo is done with New York so he will do just about anything to get there including waiving an 8M trade kicker. It is either that or rot in New York another year instead of joining a talented team with 2 all-stars who are also his friends and try to win a championship. He went the money route already in his prime and that turned out to be a bad move. I think he knows that know and is trying to fix that mistake.

After one month of negotiations and Rockets only needing Melo's final confirmation:
Morey: "So everything is in order, you only need to waive that trade kicker now."

Melo: "Oh wow, no way I'm doing that, we never talked about this."

Morey: "Oh **** okay, deal unfortunately falls through."

    Great journalism.

It's Texas, so, more like a sudden attack of golf-ball-size hail annihilating the playing field and the parking lot while it's sunny out. The groundskeepers are working on it. Hit the state-of-the-art stadium clinic for some free stitches while we wait.

I don't know that... He doesn't know either. He just said there is pretty much no doubt that Melo will be a rocket due to lack of other options.

Morey: You get a trade kicker. It's called no state income tax.

I'm in the same boat. I will take his word for it, but won't believe it until I see it.

The lack of other options really can't be overlooked. Also, the longer it takes for this to play out, the more it hurts the Knicks because they can't do anything in FA till this is taken care of.
