Klay has 2 years left on his contract, and he probably won't demand a max. He's already said he doesn't care what role he plays, he'd rather be a part of something special. Dude just wants to play ball, play with his dog, and play with some instagram hoes. Seriously, that's it. Might be the most low-maintenance guy in the league.

I am really getting the feeling that this is not going to happen. This is a culmination of all of the "he is coming to Houston" trades/free agents that never materialize. I hope I am wrong, because I seriously feel like this will push us to where we need to be to compete with GS.

"It may not be today. It may not be tomorrow. There's a lot of time before training camp."

    NOT imminent. :)

Just seems weird to make a major trade just as you're hiring a new GM, who is supposed to be the main decision maker in the process. If it were me taking that job I'd want a couple days to fully access the situation for sure.

There's a lot of time before the 2019 training camp.

These are the Knicks we're taking about. The same team that wouldn't give David Griffin ultimate say on player decisions. The Knicks want a yes man and an ex Magic/Kings assistant GM is perfect for that.

Makes sense - Portland's front office went crazy giving money to mediocre guys, but Leonard is not even a replacement level guy.

Good God, how many draft picks and bj's is that gonna take? The dude has three seasons and more than $5.76 coming to him in salary, which is more than he'll actually earn.

    Wait, what?

So that's two hold ups. Not one.

A possible new voice at the Knicks front office.

Myers Leonard is a 24 year old, 7 ft, former lotto pick who has proven to be able to shoot the 3. He exceed 40% from downtown just a few years ago. He makes $10M yes but he's not an albatross. Someone will talk themselves into taking him on for a 2nd rounder or 2 and hope he finally makes "the jump".

    ITS HAPPENING AGAIN!!!
