    I do worry that bringing in a voice outside of the Knicks organization changes the dynamics of a Melo deal. We needed it to be an internal promotion. Outside voice surely would want to add his two cents.

    Everyone has been reporting that since Griffin backed out.

    Trey Fraudriguez also said Allan Houston was his guess for GM and that they wouldn't announce it for awhile

    Imagine that! The Knicks look around the league for a FO that has done such a good job to get their new GM from and they choose the KINGS!

    It worries me slightly based on that, but I'm actually a bit reassured that there's more explanation for the delay. Because otherwise, with what Woj reported yesterday about a third-team being confirmed, there's no reason for this to drag out. This at least confirms other time-consuming activities going on from NY's perspective, as opposed to waiting around for no reason (which would likely indicate a problem in finding willing suitors).
