    it was The Basketball Analogy podcast...I listened to it yesterday and he said some dumb sh*t like "I call a 3 team trade a no team trade," and then he said that a 4 team deal is a pipe dream

    he had no sauces on the matter tho

    I think the framework is in place with three teams. The fourth team is trying to make it more acceptable to all sides. I think it still gets done with three teams.

    Woj said 3 teams were already in place, and they were in discussions with a few teams that could be the 4th team in this trade

    the Knicks want nothing to do with Melo...he can not be on that roster once training camp starts, the situation is way too toxic at this point

    we've already come this far, a deal will get done somehow, someway

    In general, a 4-team trade may be considered a "pipe dream." But, NY has no leverage here. They have one team to trade with because of Melo's no-trade clause. They really have 3 options: keep Melo, buyout Melo, trade Melo to Houston. Even a suboptimal trade is better than keeping a malcontent Melo, or buying him out.
