You are probably one of those "fans" that turn the game off as soon as we get down 10+ points and just look at updates on your phone to see if we get back into the game and if not, you blame harden for turning it over too much or playing awful defense

 

Not "imminent" but "talks are ongoing" both sides are motivated.

I'm sorry adding Melo in any situation made the rockets better period. So much disrespect for Melo. You add s superstar your gonna get better

 

Their biggest accomplishment according to them was that KJ dunk over Dream, for which they had a 20th anniversary celebration night when hosting us a few years ago. Such disrespect. It made the victory in their house that night so much sweeter.

I'm not gonna start a new thread, but I'm hearing Jazz want to make a move, and rumor is to trade Favors for a stretch 4. Could we not use that intel to help move Anderson to Utah, Favors to NYK, and Melo to the H? I haven't looked at all the salary stuff so don't @ me. Well, actually @ me, i'm okay with that.

 

i disagree. cp3 being here is so much more important and different then just melo and harden together. and no melo at this point of his career is not a superstar.

 

This situation is unhealthy for the fans so I hope the teams realize they are being irresponsible by waiting. Get it done or don't.

I agree with everything you just said.

Fact is Melo is still an upgrade over Ryan Anderson. He can score off the dribble and is a triple threat in the perimeter. Ryan Anderson was a glorified decoy that provided Harden spacing because of his shot.

Melo is not a decoy and defenders have to respect his ability to drive and slash.

 

a choice between the two wasn't an option last season though. of course hes an upgrade over ryno. ryno is just the true stretch 4 that fits what the rockets have been doing for years and we saw how well a hou offense did last year. the ceiling however is just limited with the team personnel as a whole.

 

Anderson makes sense for the Jazz. Gobert would erase his average to below average defense and Anderson provides the spacing that would help their offense (obvi).

 

But he also drafted prozingis over alot of other prospects who were ahead o him....mills has made 2 moves so far the hardaway contract and the baker contract and they were horrendous moves. Bakes has a PO lol

 

To be fair, if CP3 wasn't on this team, he wouldn't be a good fit. He has CP3 to keep him in line, IMO. Harden seems to have too soft spoken of a personality to keep any player in line.

I wanted no part of Melo that last several seasons the Rockets made a run at him. Times have changed since then - CP3 added, Harden MVP-worthy season, Melo tired of rotting away in NY.

I'm still a bit concerned about the Melo/D'Antoni relationship - but D'Antoni did say he didnt do his part in NY by building relationships with his players. He did that last year and the results were pretty evident. Hoping they let bygones be bygones and move fwd towards beating crap out of GSW.

Depends how long it takes the league office to approve. the more participants the longer it takes I would think

 

Honestly the majority of fans don't follow this stuff on a day by day basis so they aren't impacted by a prolonged negotiation.
