Knicks, Rockets working on Carmelo Anthony trade scenarios

if NY trades their first for Bledsoe, then it's safe to say that Mills is worse GM than Phil Jackson.
No matter what Jackson was doing at least he didn't trade away the first rounders. Knicks have suffered enough from that.
Apparently the lesson wasn't deep enough for the cronies in MSG..do only the fans remember? *sigh*

 

Right they would need a first. Like I said, this is all dependent on whether the Knicks actually have what it takes to make a deal for Bledsoe. If they DO have what it takes for Bledsoe then we can make that work. If they aren't willing to actually give something up for Bledose than it's a non-starter.

Agreed. Wouldn't be surprised though...and it would be a disaster cause Bledsoe is also overrated, but that's just me.

It's pretty crazy that it seems all but confirmed, but it's taking ages to get there. At this point I'm starting to lose hope that it's ever going to get done. The rumors, the fake sauces, the bbs hitting rock bottom a few nights ago, etc it's all starting to break me.

I used Taylor to make the trade work, but theoretically you could just agree to the deal and then hold off until Uthoff can be aggregated and swap him for Taylor since the Rockets like him.

As part of this assume that our 2020 pick goes to PHX, maybe a 2nd goes to Portland and a 2nd to NY, include Hartenstein perhaps to someone if they need that.

-Portland: Gets Ryno (they apparently like the idea) and then cut all the NGs. They send out basically $28 million in salary and only take back $20. That $8 million savings is helpful against the luxury tax and they get a second rounder for their trouble.
-Phoenix: They clear Brandon Knight's salary, get a first round pick and basically get $3 to $4 million in actual savings for the next 3 years from Knight to Leonard.
-NY: This is actually the ones that trickier to me. I just don't get why NY is interested in taking on long term salary, but what do I know. They get Knight (veteran PG ) they get Harkless. You could drop the Hernangomez part if you want to, I threw him in there to get the Rockets something lol.

PHX could theoretically still take on additional salary in this deal if Portland wants to move more of their one year deals to save more luxury tax dollars.

Edit: Phx eats Vonleh for them and it actually gets them even closer, just a handful of million above the luxury tax. At that point maybe they are sending OUT a pick instead of taking one.

Bledsoe is almost all the time injured and that is with the Suns doctors and staff. Who actually do the best job in the league, in training the players and prevention. He also has only two years in his contract. They won't win now..so...
I dont' have much sympathy for the Knicks..but I do have plenty of sympathy for fans that have to suffer through such unending incompetence.

I think that was safe to say immediatly after he signed Hardawayto a 71 million dollar contract.
Trading a first for bledsoe would probably put him at worst ever. But if they do that to get this done thank you NYK!!
