    Doubt NOP wouldn't at least try to see what a full season of the Davis-Cousins combo is capable of. The players rumored in that Reggie Jackson deal were Moore and Ajinca so I expect those two to be the guys the Pelicans are willing to part with.

    the start of the NFL season is not "imminent". that is not a correct use of the word. A couple months away is not "imminent".

    I think Potato head hit it on the nail when he said it was portland that was the 3rd team. Now that we want a 4th team to finish the trade, this is what i think everyone is willing to do:
    Por: Leonard and harkless for Ryno
    Hou: Ryno and a 1st for Melo
    NYK: Melo for Harkless and Hou 1st ( but they still want another asset?)

    Obviously the Knicks dont want anything to do with Leonard. So we need to find a 4th team willing to take Leonards contract and give the knicks another asset. To do so we need to absorb The Ed davis contract so that Portland can give the 4th team their 1st round pick.

    I dont remember who posted Brooklyn as the 4th team but that makes sense since they are looking for draft picks and we can add our second if they give Lin back to New York
