actually I'd say any of the role players who specifically play off harden deal with their own problems. its not just RA. there were many times ariza was the weak link, bev, capella, and so on. that just comes with being part of the supporting cast.

assuming we get Melo here next year with Ryno being the main piece going out, the players up to criticized next will be capella, ariza, tucker, gordon etc

    I completely disagree.
Bad contract doesn't mean untradeable which exactly what you are trying to say now.
Sure and NY would love to have Anderson if they could trade him for Noah. That doesnt make Anderson's contract any more better just that it's more desirable in comparison to the absolute albatross.

One mid-sized contract? Who says it's one bad midsized contract and not two bad contracts?

Knicks fan here. Just curious if the following guys would not be on the table as sweeteners for us to take on the contract of RA:
    Isiah Taylor
    Hardenstein
    Oliver

There wouldn't be this much smoke if the teams were that far apart. We'll see.

Hard to debate which one is less legit: Steve Kyler or Frank Isola?

All of frank isolas statements and articles just want to keep melo.

Hes a heartbroken knicks fan. I get it, i'd feel that way too but hes not objective at this point.

Ian Begley is much better for NY sports reporting

I don't see what teams not being far apart after weeks of negotiations has to do with Anderson being a Melo deal stopper.
If he wasn't so grossly overpaid this deal would have already happened.

    what are you talking about?
Isola hates Melo and all the time makes jokes on his expense.

    Sounds good.
I've been thinking the same, knicks usually do some crazy stuff and I was thinking we could get O'Quiin.

Then someone else mentioned Mem was part of the 4th team and that we would get Jamychal Green.

Then we get Willie Reed since we might lose Capela.

Melo, O'Quiin, J Green and Reed.
If Morey can pull that off man would be nice. I know I know it's prob not gonna happened

What? I'm not saying Ryno's contract isn't bad. Also, as far as one contract vs. two, Woj specifically says it's offloading one player that requires the fourth team.

The disingenuous part of the column is acting as if finding a home for Ryan Anderson is the current problem. In fact, Isola intimates that Anderson's destination may not be known. If the reports from today are correct, his destination is 100% established, and the issue is finalizing the situation with one of Portland's players and Team 4.

I'm not arguing that Anderson is a desirable contract -- he's not. I'm simply saying that characterizing the current state of Carmelo negotiations, at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, as being held up as uncertain based on not knowing Ryan Anderson's destination is fairly disingenuous at best. It's a lazy way to frame it to score some cheap points with the NY front office.
