I realize that there weren't a ton of fans of this signing this offseason. But he just put up 23/7 and 20/8 in back-to-back road wins. He was shooting a freakish 45.5% from the 3-point line coming into tonight, and he shot 4-6 from beyond the arc in this one. I'm not saying the guy is making an All-Star Game or that we'll confuse him for a superstar. Far from it. But if he can keep this up, he could feasibly end the season with this contract actually looking pretty damn good.
He hit two massive threes in the last 3 minutes in the Capital and a massive 3 in San Antonio to help us win. Sure he cant rebound or play any defense but he can shoot the ball and hit big shots.
Agree so much with this. He's a better rebounder than DMo also. And he opens the lane wide up for Harden because his trigger is quick and teams can't cheat off of him at all.
His rebounding has actually been much better than I anticipated. His TRB% coming into this game was 12.2 percent, which isn't good. but it's also not the atrocious 10 percent that he essentially averaged his last three seasons in New Orleans. We're not going to confuse him for Dennis Rodman, but he's actually rebounding at a better rate so far this season than DMo had the last two years.
If this color blind giraffe costs us a super team so help me God he's going in the black book with Scottie Pippen!!!
This is still true. I'm all for pursuing a superteam and adding Melo's versatility, but I think keeping Anderson's gravity on this team isn't the worst option in the world.
Ryno is nowhere near perfect and I really hope we're able to find a team that takes him so we can get Melo...but none of this super team talk is even possible without us signing Anderson last year. Without his shooting ability, there is nowhere we reach anywhere near the success we did this past season and CP3 probably doesn't see us as a team he wants to sign with.
Oh I agree. Anderson played the role of decoy very well for this team. I just wish he wasn't paid $5 million more a year for that.
http://www.nba.com/magic/galleries/top-players/ranking-stretch-fours-2016-17-cohen-20161221/ #3 on best next to Porzingis, He was due money. Clutchfans need to stop the hate on this guy. Seriously.... Anderson a baller..
Cool. Odd time to brag about voting against a signing that helped us get to 55 wins, put us back on the map so we could sign Chris Paul, etc. But hey, you do you.
Why do you bump such an old thread? This was discussed for 49 pages and we moved on. It's old news... I hope Clutch starts shutting this annoying practice down as well.
The most useless ex pelicans ever, 20 mil per year 0 points 13 min 3 shots Smhhhhh I have grown to hate ryan noshotson
LOL Terrible contract then, terrible contract now. Can this guy just go already? but but but elite floor spacing but but but 3pt shooting! but but but no way we win 55 games without him! but but but please send positive vibes for this PAB HAHAHAHAHAHA The day he leaves I hope the City of Houston throws an Astros WS style parade.
Yes he doesnt even provide spacing now, his confindence so shot down to 0. Even the coach doesnt have confidence in him. I dont think we are gonna be able to trade him before trade deadline. If somehow the wizard are able to do so. Clap clap
