Forget his Cleveland legacy, I mean his overall NBA legacy. Leaves Cleveland to form a super team in Miami. Those guys get old he leaves them to form a younger one in Cleveland. Those guys max out and leaves them to form a new one in Lakerland.

His legacy will be a guy who trades all of your picks, gets his friends paid, wins a ring and the moves to the next city to do it. We live in such a weird age. The players shouldn't even bother to pretend to have pride in the team they play for or give the old "best fans in the NBA" nonsense.

I'm not saying he won't leave nor am I trying to bash him, I'm just commentating on the weird time we live in. Should teams even be associated with cities anymore? Players don't see teams as anything more than a place with cap space to team up, win against their peers and the move on.

yup that's why i give props to the dirk's and kobe's to sticking with their own teams no matter what. the only guy in the league that really has that same type of mindset at the moment and regardless of what people say about him is westbrook.

So what are we doing at power forward if Ryno leaves and we bring in Melo? PJ Tucker?

I think this will definitely take away from his legacy. This would be the 3rd superteam he's formed. If you are a top 5 GOAT you don't change teams every few years

I'd rather get Love, but I really don't understand how that's possible. If the Cavs are willing to unload Love for Melo, we don't have the assets to send to the Knicks as the 3rd team.

Then again, if it's for Love, I'm willing to include Gordon. I know people are down on Love. But if you don't fall for the media BS, it's clear that Love either outplayed or nullified Green in the Finals. The issue there wasn't Love at all, it was Lebron's defense, Kyrie's offense and Lue's incompetence. Love put up 16 and 11 on 37% 3pt shooting and the Warriors big men underperformed. From our 3rd best scorer against the best defensive player in the league and the best defensive team in the league, that's worth $25m.

Well, we'll see. Westbrook hasn't signed his max extension.

    Harden has fully embraced Houston.

But yes, I'm agreement with your overall point. Other than not wanting to live in dumps or really gold cities, I'm not sure it matters to these guys at all where they play anymore lol. Maybe I'm crazy, but it felt like players used to form a real bond with the cities that they played in.

    Be aware guys -
Some banhammers have come down on people who were reported for dumb Carmelo threads.

Might want to think twice before thread starting.

    Some advice to help:

Why get the best of a single NBA GM when you can get the best of THREE in a single deal?

yeah this next extension offer is a big one. but he did just previously sign one when KD left. Wb has a ton of pride and confidence in himself. I think he'll accept. yeah i miss those days where it seemed that way as far as bond
