This is also of course using All NG(Non Guarntee Contracts, plus send picks the Knicks way, and or maybe 2nd's to both the blzers and pistons for participation, and for Knicks want youth, so they can go threw the list of NG to pick and choose. Blazers dont want to be effect and if they can get rid of a contract and get a better production in the process than they do it with Anderson. Piston lack good young Power forward depth.....

This is irritating. We're on the verge of creating something we haven't seen since Barkley came here. Just sit back and enjoy it instead of worrying about something that has a 1% chance of happening. First and foremost, Chris Paul isn't bouncing. He's here for the long haul. He was ready to sign a fresh deal, but he agreed to opt in because he knew that would allow us to go out and get Carmelo.

 

The fact that we can't take him back should mean that we aren't willing to move any additional players, right? That's a good thing.

 

No they literally couldn't have cap space to sign all for unless all four are taking massive pay cuts. They have to make moves next year just to get two of those guys

One thing I wonder about is whether it's NY leaking Cleveland's interest. If NY admits that HOU is basically its only option, that can't be good for leverage.

Cleveland worries me from the standpoint of shorter contracts (Shump, Frye package), but they don't have much in the way of any assets. The Cedi Osman news encourages me slightly... he's one of the only even semi-intriguing young pieces they have, and they're not going to trade him after coming to a contract agreement with him to come over.

They gave up as soon as they said they wouldn't trade Love. My hope is Morey isn't doing the same with Capela or Gordon. Dwayne Wade could come after a buyout to fill that role.
