Your right - didn't realize Parker had upped his 3pt shooting quite a bit last year....knew Teletovic was a decent shooter but didn't think Thon Maker was there yet, but looking at the stats he was a decent long range shooter in limited minutes. Good call.

The Rockets aren't taking on Kevin Love while the Cavs get Melo. There has been literally NO mention of Kevin Love being traded anywhere. And the fact that the players themselves are convinced that Melo is coming here should be enough to tell us that's what's going to happen. Codman ALWAYS signs off with "Love y'all".....it's not a reference to Kevin Love.

From what i've seen, there have been reports that Melo would be ok with going to Cleveland. What if the real frame work revolves around Melo to Cle, and LEBRON to HOU????:eek::eek:

    Lebron to Hou
    Melo to Cle
Love and Anderson to NYK (seems like a NYK thing to do)

Cavs are hanging on to Melo. They have Kyrie and Love under contract LT once they lose Lebron to the Rockets or Lakers

It's a really dumb contrarian opinion piece from Kurt Helin.
    http://nba.nbcsports.com/2017/07/12...ove-carmelo-anthony-meaning-theyre-not-close/

Four-team deals happen along similar lines quite frequently. See Dwight to LA in August 2012. It's not a matter of the sweetener, or lack thereof. Some teams just aren't willing to absorb certain players/contracts, even if there is a sweetener. It shouldn't be that hard to understand. Even when future assets/picks are involved, the ability to take a bad contract is at least somewhat relative to your own team/cap situation.

The most logical breakdown I've seen of where things could be: In the rumored Portland scenario, let's assume they're willing to ship out Harkless and Leonard for Ryan, but the Knicks are only willing to take back Harkless. Because their cap space is at a bit of a premium, Leonard is probably a sticking point, even if the Rockets or Portland are willing to throw in a prospect or future draft pick consideration. However, it's entirely possible that a hypothetical fourth team with a better cap situation than the Knicks might be more willing to take on Leonard (with sweetener). And if Portland isn't the 3rd team, you could theoretically substitute other teams with a similar player/cap breakdown.

It's really not that hard to understand why a fourth team could (successfully) be involved, but Helin is notorious for this sort of contrarian stuff.

also Melo over Love for the cavs doesn't move the needle for them not to mention he's older and more injury prone at this point. I don't see why Cavs do it unless there's another big move.

ok cool. really no debate bc nothing I said is really untrue. once again for this team the difference isn't enough. love in ryno's role would still provide the same ceiling and similiar struggles.

you can compare them individually all you want. I don't really care about that.

Why the **** would Melo agree to go to Cleveland if LeBron is leaving?? They're best friends.....Melo knows what LeBron is intending on doing. If the Cavs are a team that's involved in this deal, it's only to facilitate......Love is not going to be involved. If I'm wrong, I'll be the first one to eat crow, but I don't anticipate that happening.
