Has Altuve ever had a hit in an ASG? Maybe one?

Devo was decent. Gave up some solid contact, but K'd a really disciplined hitter.

Hopefully the Astros' participation is over. Glad no injuries.

After watching the Astros all this time, this 1-1 All star game is pretty boring

    Edit: now 2-1

is correa sitting because indians manager has to play his guy lindor? (who is obviously deserving too but correa was the one voted into start...)

All-star starters typically only get 2-3 AB's, then get subbed out.

    They never finish the game.

Also, you can't bring back starters after they go to the bench in baseball.... I'm sure you know that, but you can never be too sure around here with all the Melo-Maddness taking over.

1st MLB all star game. I hardly ever take interest in watching all star games in sports. thanks for letting me know haha

and yes I definitely knew the 2nd part. I've watched the astros since I was a little kid and played baseball haha. Glad you gave me the benefit of the doubt on that one lol

I just only watched the 8th inning on tonight.

had never really heard of Springer talk until the all star game.

Does he have some kind of speech impediment? It's like his mind kinda moves faster than his mouth. So he ends up with struggling completing his sentence looking for that last word.

Yes. He's been pretty open about it. He actually organizes fund-raising and has annual events for youth groups that suffer from the same issue.

Good. He can get his clunker out of the way and get back to catching George Brett for most consecutive 3 hit games when baseball that matters reconvenes.

I try to learn from every game. I think first this game is a reminder and a wake up call. A reminder that swinging at everything was our old approach, and these are the results. And too a wake up call that when we get to the playoffs, every pitch is going to count against higher quality pitching.

As to the Civil War in the GARM, I'm a 99'er, so I reckon that's who I will be drafted by for the war. I don't know who I'm going to war with, but I want to side with those that speak the truth, so the 99ers better do that. But as far as firepower, I like the 99er chances since we have the power to literally ban everyone and it will take a revolution to defeat them.

First place schedule literally affects TWO games...
