Will this ball-dominant mindset of Capela pose a problem? @SamFisher

depth does nothing but yield the same results we've seen the last several years. if you're happy with that then that's all you and your opinion

    Is Melo a PF now?

I don't lhink he moves the needle that much but am hoping he does.....IMHO, we would be better served with a starting PF.

Do you even watch basketball? Melo has been a PF for a long time. He stands around in the mid post.

Happy players play better together than unhappy ones, so if there's a trade and it doesn't cost too much, and everyone on the court is happy then I'm ecstatic.

It will be a different looking team rolling out to Opening Tip 11/1 than last year's. I'll take 55 + 16 W's. You?

Ariza, Tucker, Gordon, Nene and Capela compared to Green, Iggy, Barnes, Pachulia, Livingston, Clark, and West.

    Green >> Gordon
    Iggy >> Ariza
    Barnes >> Tucker
    Pachulia >> Qi
    West = Capela
    Livingston & Clary > Williams / Oliver

And I just can't see Nene staying healthy enough to play in the playoffs - the man can't stay healthy.

Why is Pachulia referenced with Qi?
    Capela > Pachulia

I don't know much about Qi but the corpse of David West looked like crap in the playoffs
except maybe a game or two

Barnes is >> anyone?????? Seriously? Matt barnes or Harrison Barnes or who barnes is >> Anyone?
Did Barnes even play in the championship round?

Yes that's my opinion. I prefer to have 2-3 really solid rotational players rather than a former star past his prime who always had a tendency to be an inefficient ball-hog and a chemistry issue. And yet another defensive liability. But hey, that's just me. Adding Paul was a really good move. Adding Melo was a lateral move at best.

yeah that's just you. I'm way pass building a team of just solid players bc that ceiling is way too low.

Since you're happy with just being a playoff team and a early exit I guess do what makes you happy then.

You're a fool if you think Melo makes the Rockets a contender. Even if the Rockets look like a contender next season, that only means they would have been a contender even without adding Melo.

Melo IS just a solid player right now. He's not a superstar anymore.

never said he was a superstar in fact ever. but as your 3rd best player it doesn't get much better than that. take a look at any team in the league and their 3rd best player and compare that to Melo. anyone that understands the game would realize that's a huge advantage in houston's favor

He watched Air Bud a couple of times. That Mutt was a ball dominant mofo yet eventually learned to make his teammates better. Same with the Wolf Movie

While he's a zero defensively, I agree that he's pretty skilled offensively. A well-known chemistry killer though both while he was with the Nuggets and the Knicks. Again, I hope he pans out for the Rockets, but I understand that's wishful thinking on my part.
