“It doesn’t matter what Carmelo feels confident about, because he’s not the one making the deals,” the GM said. Confirmed this GM is garbage (Orlando GM?). If Melo wasn't the one making deals, he wouldn't be on the trade block.
This is probably true if the Cavs were willing to lower their asking price, but it doesn't seem likely. Houston is probably more desperate to do the deal since they aren't in the East, so I wouldn't say either team has an inside track right now. Cavs want Melo + additional starters for Love or Kyrie. Knicks don't have anything else to offer, so a 3rd team is required. Right now nobody wants to give up so much that both Cavs and Knicks are happy with their return. So Melo will only be a Cav if they lower their asking price. Rockets also rely on a 3+ team trade because the Knicks will not bring in Anderson, who is basically required to be in the deal. So they need a trade partner willing to take on his contract while sending 1-2 year deals back to NY. I don't think anything is imminent because the Knicks aren't in a big hurry like the Pacers were.
Extremely pointless when this GM has no affiliation to any involved franchise and also didn't have any conversations with Melo. "I think Cleveland is where he wants to be most" is a complete guess. These statements are useless and have no more validity than any fan-made ones.
The more this goes on the more I don't want Melo here. The last thing the franchise needs is drama. Olympic Melo is not regular season Melo or even playoff Melo. Knicks tried Melo at PF they didn't see Olympic Melo, they just saw normal trashy Melo playing PF. Melo is not a winner. Disregarding the fact that he parties even harder than Harden, he doesn't do the work at least Harden works out when's the last time Melo worked out? Looking at his chubby arms I'm guessing Melo stopped all offseason training when he went to New York. I say **** it, just sign Troy Williams and that pg beasting in SL and lezgo.
smh back at you. Morey's been chasing Melo since Lin days. Would he have made a difference all these years? I think not.
I too think it that it will be hard for New York to make it to the Finals. I also think that Cleveland has the best chance to make it back to the Finals. Maybe I can be a GM. I have a phone I'm going to call Amico and see what he thinks. Next Amico blog post: Knicks GM candidate feels that Melo will go to Houston.
"New York Knicks is not a guaranteed trip to the Finals" Oh wow gee thanks. I'm so better informed now after having read that.
Are you 12? It's really not funny and if I'm mods.. I go back and rookify a bunch of people once the dust settles
Goes against everything else out there right now. My guess is a leak from NY trying to drive the price for Melo up.
