If/when Melo joins the team we have to hope that CP3 and Ariza put that lockeroom on lockdown and help MDA out a bit. When Melo played for NY he had the keys to the city so to speak and MDA wasn't able to get a handle on it or get him to buy in. Maybe CP3 can get him to buy in, and maybe with Melo being the third option he won't have as much pressure. Let's hope that's the case.

if Melo comes here, it means that D'antoni has already given his permission and both he and Melo have decided to patch their relationship. They know that they will work together.

I am more worried about MDA, Laurel than Carmelo tbh. On the surface they seem to make it work but MDA is a more frail personality than I thought.

To be fair melo wanted to win in new york and all they did was put dog **** on the team around him

Of course melo wont put up numbers in a D'Antoni offense playing a small forward that likes to have the ball being the best player on the team. There is a reason Jeremy Lin got awesome stats with him lol. Melo came back from injury and it was lin's team and lin getting all the praise.

But before lin MDA had no point guard in new york worth a damn to run the offense. Thats why it didnt work

No but really melo got what he wanted, to play for NY. He was the man in NY d'antoni just happened to be the coach and melo didn't like what was told of him to do and he rebelled..these are grown professional millionaire athletes they act like divas when they want because they can.. that doesn't mean this is the end all be all of Carmelo the dude wants to ****ing win! and he wants to win some rings in Houston! I'm all ****ing for it!! Let's get it

The season ahead is going to be a roller coaster.... and I think its gonna be moreso due to personalities than basketball....
    MDA/Melo past relationship...
CP3 ridin Harden - who by all indications does not due well with that...
Ariza/Harden if they really did get into it after game 5...
Harden/MDA - flashback to game 6 with Harden and MDA sitting on the bench basically ignoring each other...
Gonna be a bunch of egos in the locker room... we'll see how they mesh and how serious guys are about wanting to win...

Who cares about what happened in New York? Melo has a no trade clause and if he waves it to come where MDA is the coach it means they've talked and it's all good. Time for winning is NOW. No time for reliving Linsanity for crying out loud. That's over, let's go challenge the champs.

Whenever you have a bunch of superstars playing together, there are going to be egos, if your afraid of that you've lost already. Everyone is going to have to bend.

MDA and Melo will be ok. It seems they both are fine with being on the same team again.

Cp3 is just like pat he will go into Harden but that isn't bad. Now Harden can't be a diva and give up. Even if he does Cp3 or Melo can take over and he can be bench. CP3 and Melo want to win and they are getting old so if they don't get their egos out this might be their last chance. Let's just keep one ego though Erick Gordon.

once we start winning everything will be alright.

Would have to disagree, he will probably score more than he did last year. The other two guards will pull too much towards them leaving him much easier buckets. In NYC the gameplan was probably to lock down Melo and in HOU they wont have that luxury.

I actually disagree with the whole Harden wont do well with someone on his back. I think the reason he has not reacted well to it in the past is because he didn't have full respect for the people doing it. Howard? Howard was an idiot and Harden knew it. He didn't think his game was up to par either. I think if he actually respects the person and game as well then he would do okay.

Mainly I'm worried about Harden. He's never had 1, let alone 2 guys that'll check him for quitting or not competing. CP3 is notorious for holding guys accountable and Harden's never had that. That $228 million extension makes things even worse
