Crazy how Ryno's capabilities start and stop at #1 yet you have turds on here that actually believe Melo isn't an upgrade.

I mean Melo has a bad rep even if it's mostly fabricated BS.

Either way once he's in Houston in a role best suited for his game then guys will see just how wrong and how great he truly is and will be for you guys.

Hopefully MDA manages his minutes well.

I can see 3 barring injury or burn out.

30-32 minutes a night should be enough.

So basically, he's generally working on everything, which is kind of like working on nothing.

This seems like the "just don't get fat as a person who hates the gym" program. Let's hope he takes these workouts more seriously as the summer progresses. He doesn't need to work on his shot, post game or ball handling. Focus on getting that body fat down and stamina up. That's all that matters at age 33 for Melo.

They are doing what they can. Take salary on to get picks. Took mosgov and got a good younger player atleast in russell. Took a servicable defender atleast in demare carroll's contract for picks.

They had to start all over with no picks and a bad roster. If I were a nets fan this is year 1 of the reset so it only can go up lol

At this point this convo aint the most important thing.

Either get Melo or get rid of Anderson's contract regardless, sign or minor trade for a more experienced shooter.

Just move on. We have a roster to fill out.

I feel you shouldn't be coy, and you should brag freely.

Your thread is easily in the top 5 of the 30 Melo threads.

The search for the third team needs to be imminent soon. Sauces say Melo can't take much more of this.

you still dont get it. You get rid of andersons contract right now you lose the opportunity for a 3rd star. You need that 20 mill in trade. Since we are over the cap we cant sign anyone to anything. We cant get under the cap enough with the rest of the roster gutted. Anderson had a down year but was still really solid in the regular season and on the road in the playoffs. If we dont get melo, I would want him still on the team. He would still be lethal with harden and cp3.

You dont move on from anderson if you dont get melo. That is idiotic. Who are we supposed to get in a trade that is better shooter than anderson. And then on top of that who would just give you a player better than anderson? Listen to yourself..... cmon man. A more experienced shooter? lmao in a 3pt shooting league where everyone is looking for good shooters, yeah we can just go magically find one for cheap that shoots 40 percent from the power forward position. Damn man ...think for once. o_O

you are becomming susceptible to group think right now. So much melo talk and everyone griping about andersons contract has made you think we need to get rid of him. Anderson is really really good at what he does. He is a tad overpaid. Id rather overpay anderson than be without him right now. His large contract is the only way we can trade for anthony in the first place right now.

This..... It was really a successful season overall and Anderson was the bit 3rd main cog that allowed that to happen.

I dun get it?....I think many Gms dun get it either..... Why should they want a heavily priced and declining stretch 4? For 19 Million....

Of course I get it for Houston but it is not exactly a wishing well and all your wishes come true situation.

Unless the NY Knicks are rebuilding or needing that cap space to sign other albatross.

I dun think the Knicks are totally rebuilding because they would get rid of Porzingis first.

Get your head thinking straight - Anderson is valuable but not for that money and there are tons of stretch forwards going into the Draft.

He won't be the only one.

    declining stretch 4? Hes 29

I want melo to be a contender this season out of the gate

If we cant get him, Im happy with anderson at the 4 and get another bench big for depth and just get what we can get and go for the 3rd star next year. You dump andersons 20 million contract you can kiss any chance of a 3rd star goodbye because we couldnt send out outgoing salary without gutting the entire core of the team

In your opinion but with the flood of stretch forwards.....The Knicks won't need him, they are bad enough and Porzingis is by far the better player....

    Porzingis is 21.

why waste 19 million to be a bench dude.... the Knicks are not that dumb.
