I'd back off Potato Head. He's been a legit source in the past. Besides, it isn't hard to see why there is motivation from both NYK & HOU to get a deal done. From an NYK standpoint, they prefer to deal with the Rockets and get something in return over CLE, who doesn't want to lose assets and prefers buyout scenario so they can add Melo to their arsenal. IMO, a deal with the Rockets should get done, it's just a matter of time. Update on tomorrow's THJ intro presser. Guest that eliminates some of the Melodrama.
Nuh bro, I don't expect everyone to think about me when Melo trade goes through, the guys making non-news threads were expecting to be thought about.
I thought they'd trade Melo before the Timmy presser if they were indeed close to a deal coming to fruition. Then when the first Melo question came they could say a canned: "Carmelo Anthony is no longer a member of this franchise. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and thank him for his contributions to this franchise. That said, we'd like to keep questions focused on Tim, this franchise and the future. Thank you". Delaying it just opens up fair-game questions about fit, playing with Melo, who's team it is, etc.
Yeah, but it appears Phil got fired for trying by shopping Porzingis for picks. A Hinkie rebuild would chase away Porzingis, so his first order of business in implementing The Process would have to be to cash in on Porz now, too, and get fired.
Probably because it would take away from the signing. All the questions would be about the next GM and/or the Melo trade.

NY media doesn't boo anyone haha They just would grill him and unlike say, the Houston media, they don't defer to the organization's wishes about what will be discussed. No way they'd let him talk about anything other than the GM status and Melo's status.
But Hinkie is a good gm, he was hired to implement that trust the process.. I’m sure if that’s not the plan, he can rebuild on the fly.
