Will be interesting to see who ends up taking those last second shots... Obviously this is Hardens team but CP3 and Melo especially have good records of hitting late shots. No matter what happens I just hope we run some damn plays at the end of the game!
Oh dantoni is an x and o master. He will run plays. Only times he doesnt is when he hopes for fast break opportunities
I know it's not likely, but I would do a Ryan Anderson, Ariza, all NGteed, 2020 1st round pick for CLee and Melo. Str8 up. Who says no?
I don't think we should just label generally in the way that we dub each player option 1, option 2....etc. etc. Melo just has to play according to the talents on the team...but every player should. If Melo is the top scorer on the team and we win it all then I'm 110% okay with that. The perfect gameplan with a lineup of Paul, Harden, and Anthony doesn't necessarily mean Harden gets the most points and Paul gets the most assists. I want a good game plan that maximizes the team, I don't care who option 1, 2, or 3 is. Hell, if Clint Capela leads the team in scoring I'm okay with it if the team is better for it. Was Melo the best player on the Olympic squad in 2012? Not even close, yet he was the leading scorer and most productive player on offense.
I wish that was something I could feel confident about but even with Dantoni every game it was Harden dribbling it out till there's 12 seconds left then hoping to get a step back J... just to predictable even though James is deadly at that shot. But hopefully with other reliable stars he will be willing to start some action earlier in the play clock.
and he was forced to play SF which is harder for him since he's not as quick as he once was. he also didn't have shooters around him to give him space. he was also being vilified by the FO and booed by fans and lost most of his motivation to play hard. and he still had better stats than hayward last year. how do you think he'll do on a team where he's motivated, supported by FO and fans, has shooters/playmakers around him, and can play most of his minutes at the 4 where he's got a quickness advantage like in the olympics? i'd say he's going to revive his career the same way ego and nene did under MDA. gordon is a very important piece tho. i don't think we have a chance against gsw without him. i hope we don't swap him for lee. gordon is a shooter and playmaker. he's our iggy off the bench. gsw has 5 playmakers. we'll only have 3. gordon makes it a series. but at the end of the day if that's what it takes to get melo you have to do it. we'd make the WCF and get beat 4-1 like the cavs, but at least we'd have the banana boat ready for lebron and wade next summer.
cp3, melo, and harden who all love ariza. if someone else has to get traded besides anderson and the NG bros, it will unfortunately be gordon for lee. if that's the case i'm asking for o'quinn.
Actually I'm not totally sold on the idea. Need to see who is given up in the deal, and I see inevitable chemistry issues due to Carmelo not wanting to be a spot up shooter. Bottom line is I like the gif more than this deal right now.
I don't know why but this seems credible to me... Spoiler i guess it's for the part "NY will get back crap"
