Well I know he's great you know he's great easily one of the best talents the game has had over the last 20 years. But a lot of rockets fans think he sucks and none of the great players in the NBA respects his game or wants to play here. Despite the fact that besides KD every major FA has taken a meeting with the rockets since we got him. We landed Howard and cp3 had bosh in the bag before Miami super maxed him and now seem to have melo in the bag if we can get the knicks to bite. These NBA players see the scouting report on harden every night.... and they still can't gaurd him. He still carves them up and gets his teammates wide open threes and dunks. Who wouldn't want to play with harden????
The dude was 100% ready to sign a 4 year max with us until we were able to work out at last minute trade. Of course he wants to stay.

His game will age very well so he might not be prime. But he will definitely still have his shot and floor IQ. Nash was still putting up 12 and 10 his last year in phoenix when he was 37.
We actually can't sign him for a deal when he's 38. So, only a 4 year deal after this year. Nash played really well at 37, was never a great defender. Paul plays slow as molasses, his game will age very very well. All the deals from here out seem ludicrous, role players and scrubs alike. Might as well pay the good ones. Side note: he's the players head, so he should have the most influence at the FA table.

Also, Chris Paul opts out. Melo Opts out. Ariza expires..... Rockets renounce rights to both of them. Harden gets the DVP extension, the old 4 split up the rest of the money,Rockets wont be hard capped, re-up Capella, sign the ring chasers to Min contracts. This is all working out. Bright days ahead for this Rockets team.
