If Zhou keeps it up I'd like to see him crack the rotation. If we didn't get Melo I'd play him over Ryan Anderson. I think by playoff time if he started all year he'd bring more value to the table as an inside scoring threat and shot blocker. Not going to immediately (or Maybe ever) be the shooter Ryan is (on the road) but I think he could immediately excel in every other area over Ryno.

Zhou Qi maybe skinny but he's not weak... only time he hit the floor was when he went for the loose ball. I remember watching dmo early and wondering "why is this guy always on his ass"..... even after a hard foul he still held his own....

Guess we'll see if anyone pushes him around this summer

isiah thomas is really just as dumb on tv as in the gm war room or coach's huddle.

I fanboyed Morey, lol....I don't think I've fanboyed anyone before. Didn't do the selfie thing because everyone else was. Morey was chilling with his guest/friend(?) Drew Scott from Property Brothers. He made me wait, but did give me time to say hi, give him props for his work, shake his hand, and he complemented me on my old school '94 Rockets championship shirt. That was embarrassing, but fun, lol.

Also, lots of Nuggets fans. I guess they're close enough, but it felt like the fan base of a kids softball game...they were kind of serious and crazy, lol. The Joe Chee only fans were great too, lol.

Zhou Qi is skinny, but I'd rather have a player who needs to hit the weight room than one who needs to hit the basketball skills room. And there is no such thing as the height room.

Was he working the phones for Melo? Or huddling with any Knicks officials?

Asian homie moves like a ball player (something Yao never could do). I like what I see.

I was sitting on the other side near the Rockets bench and went over to meet Morey at halftime. He spent most of the first half either doing interviews or socializing with the Property Brothers guy. This place (the smaller gym, and possibly smaller court) is like 75% friends/family of players, coaches, scouts, media and league associated people. Not many fans there...but the big arena next door is full of Lakers fans.

I'm chill. There was nothing hype about my post.

Anderson is an easily replaceable piece

A lot to like tonight, just got done watching the game.

Onuaku's passing was really impressive, dude was throwing touchdown passes like nothing, no hesitations, all of them right on the money.

Qi's length brings a nice intimidation factor in the paint, nice controlled jumper, nice and quick when finishing in the paint. His size at 4, jumper and shot blocking could be really awesome.

Troy reminds me so much of Brewer, wouldn't mind keeping him as a end of the bench vet min player. All out hustle, runs like crazy, wild and super inconsistent 3PT jumper, best when running fast breaks, makes boneheaded T/O too lmao.

Hartenstein showed some decent athleticism and shot blocking, didn't stand out too much, he's super young and has plenty of room to develop more. His jumper looks like it needs a lot of work, a whole bunch of bad body movement.

Oliver showcased his shot blocking and athleticism well, missed his 3's and a couple of dunks though, really can't wait for the coaching staff to get their hands on him.

Lowlights - All the backcourt players looked meh. Shawn Long was really disappointing, looked really out of shape, wasn't jumping or moving well at all on D, I was hoping we'd keep him but now I'm turned off, trade him with the other NG bro package lol .

Chinanu looked so-so. He passed well imo. Set screens ok. Little slow on some defensive rotations. Rebounded
so-so. Then he tweaked his ankle. Houston built a lead with his help. Chinanu didn't see action in the second half.
    Looked out of sink.

Qi mostly played PF. Commentators mentioned that Qi played the 5 in China; but Houston wants to play him
at the 3-4 spots. He showed some nice flashes.

Isaiah Taylor looked active and dished well. Only 1 turnover.

Cam Oliver looked well. Once he settles in.....should perform better in the Rockets scheme.

Troy Williams and Chris Johnson had good games. Chris can play.

He showed some of his strengths (great shot blocker, rebounder and athlete), but I expect more out of him (3's, PnR finishing). Like I've been saying I think he'd benefit big time from our coaching staff, can't wait to see what he looks like around this time in next years summer league.
