My sources are telling me that Morey has ended all talks with all 29 other GMs. He's ready to roll out the big three of CP3, James Harden and Joe Chee and take home the trophy.

I just really don't want to see the team lose Eric Gordon. I'd never presume to know better than Morey, but I think that I'd throw in the first if it helps keep Gordon. We would have the most killer small ball line up in the league along with the Warriors.

Update from sources - it's being discussed. Everything is fluid. One thing for sure sources cite with certainty and that is Melo may come to Houston or may not.

Because they know if Melo comes to Houston, it decreases the chance that Lebron stays in Cleveland after next year.

You want to trade the next Yao, the next Kawhi, and the next Dirk for an over-the-hill SF/PF malcontent who couldn't make it work with Damntoni the first time? No thanks.

They scored just fine against GS. Melo doesn't solve their real issues.

just replacing Love with Melo does not make me think that they're any closer to beating GS

Cavs averaged 115 ppg against GS in the finals, only problem is that they gave up 122

Cavs just replacing Love with Melo does not make me think that they're any closer to beating GS

Paul George would've been a different story

I don't believe this rumor anyways because who the hell is Trey Rodriguez?

I'm really surprised at how often Love keeps getting mentioned in trade deals. I feel he's really getting to be underrated. I can understand the Cavs trading him for PG cause PG being the much better fit, but at this point Melo is basically stretch 4 so it's still the same issue where ideally you don't want to play either one with LeBron and TT at the same time.

But if they get Melo so be it. I'm content with keeping Anderson and wait til the deadline to see what's out there. Who knows. PG, Boogie all potential gets at that time.

That's because the Warriors have a better bench.

The point you're missing here is that although the Cavs could not score when Lebron left the floor... the real problem is no one, including Lebron, could put up a decent defense against the Warriors regardless of whether Lebron was on the floor and regardless of whether Lebron was scoring on the other end. For 48 minutes, the Cavs were a bad defensive team - and I don't even mean against the elite Warriors, I mean there are 20 NBA teams who can play better defense than them. So you can't be thinking about a dip in scoring in the 10-12 minutes that Lebron leaves the floor, when there's a 48 minute problem with this team. It's not like they were net positive with Lebron on the floor.

In order for the Cavaliers to make up the defensive difference between themselves and the Warriors, they would need to add 2-3 Carmelo Anthony type players and not lose anything in the process. Something which is never going to happen.
