[Woj] Carmelo Anthony open to waiving no-trade clause for Rockets or Cavaliers

It's not like this deal is all of a sudden likely to happen. It's just a report that may or may not be true that 3 teams are talking.

Reports right now all confirm that he is willing to waive his no trade clause for either. Most reports say if bought out he will choose cleveland so he might even prefer them.

As of right now though knicks get to choose between rox and cavs because he would acceot a trade to either.

Gut instinct tells me there is legs to this rumors after seeing the woj tweet.

I'm guessing houston is trying to get a draft pick and a 5m dollar player to add to Anderson. Anderson to the blazers which is a good idea. They can win 50 games with him and dame/cj/nurc. No defense at all but they were bad anyways. Might as well embrace what your good at and become a potential top 15 offense of alltime.

Knicks would get the blazers players and I guess a draft pick from houston and Portland prob 2nd rounders, maybe houston gives up a 1st but I doubt it.

Rockets get there guy in melo and have a legit big three with the 6th man of the year.

Only two minus defender in the 8 man rotation and really harden can play good D when he wants to. Melo is bad but a major upgrade over Ryno especially in the rebounding department.

If your getting melo how are you upgrading from Ariza.

I mean sure it would be nice but I don't see how that's even possible.

Ariza when playing only 25-28 min a night is a much different player on both sides compared to the iron man 40 min a night guy.

If I got cp3/harden/melo/Gordon for scoring with my centers being Capela and nene I'm perfectly fine with Ariza/tucker at the wing as defenders and corner three shooters. They both shoot over 40% from the corners. There fine on this team.

I am a little skeptical. If the details are just being ironed out like Mr. Potato Head says then surely Woj, Stein, or Ramona would've at least mentioned something about this.

If he has the scoop before any of them then he should get verified on Twitter and inserted into the Insider Hall of Fame.

The poster was suggesting that Melo had now narrowed his decision to one team.

Previous reports also said trade to Houston buyout to Cleveland. Also Lebron hasn't been recruiting and there is apparent friction between him and Dolan. Melo has 2 years left on his deal. So it makes sense that he wouldn't want to be traded to Cleveland because if Lebron leaves he still has a year left on his deal

But again previous reports are irrelevant as the poster was suggesting that Melo has now narrowed it to one team.
