Exactly. On and on and on how Melo isn't a top 50 player and he would take james johnson over him. And how he will be a horrible fit in Houston with CP3 and Harden and make everyone worse.

Tough shots get you eliminated in the first round, just ask Westbrick, the king of stupid shots.

I don't hate Ryno, he was definitely helpful this season, but let's keep it 100

dude was useless at home and for the majority of the playoffs

    his stats against OKC...

-7 points and 5 boards while shooting 33% from the field and 13% from 3

    his stats against SA...

-11 points and 5 boards on 43% from the field and 39% from 3

he was 3-29 from 3 at home in the playoffs...he didn't make a single 3 in 5 of our 6 playoff games at home

    c'mon now...

Melo is a huge upgrade, it's not even debatable...especially when he'll be playing at the 4 next to Harden and CP3

Did Westbrook have any semblance of help around him.

Paul and Harden will run the offense, Melo will be the beneficiary.

That was just in a hypothetical discussion. Gordon is on a great contract and fits the offense perfectly. He's a perfect 4th best player on a championship team. Morey won't trade him for Anthony.

Watch Melo in the Olympics. That's closer to what we'd be seeing here. People think he'll be isolating at the elbow all day and hoisting a million contested midrange jumpers with Harden and CP3 here? It's not happening.

The idea of havin any 2 of Paul, Harden and Melo on the court at all times is mouth watering

Did he have help around him? Absolutely, but he made it look like he didn't because he's just that selfish of a player. When he got other people involved, the Thunder looked tough....then he went into selfish chucker mode and started taking those "tough shots" that you love so much and it always led to the Rockets pulling away.

"Tough shots" is simply another way of saying "stupid shots".

Games literally come down to those shots. You should never base your offense around them but to be against this is ridiculous.

Sometimes the best offense is give it to your best player and get out the way.

Kyrie won Game 7 on a tough shot, you telling me you'd rather see an Iman Shumpert brick because it was a good shot?

    AGree.

You get melo and keep Gordon and Capela and now you do have a legit shot at beating the warriors.

That's 4 guys who can drop 20+ any game and then an elite roll man center with defensive wings in the game at all time with Ariza and tucker.

    Plus nene and cp3 would
Kill bench units in pick and roll.

If we get melo for just Anderson we are the only threat to GS. Cavs can't do it to many dumb players and less defense than houston.

Rockets actually might be a top 10 defense as is. Add melo and I'm sure we are. Him being a better rebouder than Anderson and frankly a better defender even tho not great would easily slide us into the top 10.

Westbrook and Melo both get tunnel vision at times and force up tough shots. The difference is that Melo wouldn't be responsible for creating plays for the rest of his teammates here, he'd just need to finish them.

When you properly move the ball and take smarter shots, the games rarely come down to taking BS shots because your team is ahead. ISO ball leading to contested shots excites some fans, but it's really stupid basketball most of the time.

No chance to beat GSW if we don't get rid of Ariza.

It would be our luck if the trade happens but Melo backs out and uses his no-trade clause.
