[LI] This is what Fake News looks like: Polish First Lady “passes over” Trump handshake

Anything that makes Trump look stupid is fake news, we know this by now.

 

Fake news also reporting that people were being bussed in which is not a total lie but what they failed to mention is that due to the large crowd, bussing people in was the best form of transportation. The way they presented the story was like Trump was paying people to attend his speech or the Polish government was pointing a gun to people's head. At this point how do you people expect Trump supporters to trust the media? It's daily fake news, agenda driven nonsense.

 

First, interesting to see who posted this "story". Second, such flubs are normally reported... from Ford's errant golf shots and stumbles to GWB's having a shoe thrown at him, to Obama's jeans to Hillary's dance steps. Trump will get his too (eg Mrs. Trump swataways). Just seems funny that those that think a news network was too "sensitive" about a meme are the ones also complaining about a what will be made into a meme...

I wouldn't take things from Poland too seriously right now. They have a new right-wing nationalist government (see: Hungary, etc..) that was bankrolled by Russia. The used to be very good friends of democracy.

 

Agenda-driven news is a plague on real journalism. Hard to find an unbiased source of news nowadays.

 

first there was war on drugs, then war on terrorism, then war on poverty, and now war on fake news. too many wars, not enough faps.

 

That's how Republicans want it. They invented agenda driven news and if if it's not their agenda then it's by definition their opponents agenda. The facts are really immaterial.

 

so people upset about the classification of another awkward Trump moment. How about being upset that he still hasn't appointed people to key gov't roles or that he is a walking poop show.

 

Whether they started it or not, it seems all major news outlets have devolved to it and it's pretty sad that there's no journalistic integrity.

I realize that it's mostly a reaction to create ratings and clickbait for advertising dollars. If readers didn't care for yellow journalism, the news wouldn't report it.

This is nothing but another desperate attempt to smear one of the only well-resourced and legitimate investigative journalism outfits remaining in our country. It's, truly, pathetic and harmful to whatever is left of our democracy.

The 20 year efforts to sow distrust of "the media" is reaping great benefits for extremists on all sides, while hurting, as usual, the common good of most Americans.
