Not only is a good fit but in contrast with Leonard and Harkless, Anderson at least is a starter level player.

Actually makes some sense. Anderson is better than Leonard and Harkless so Portland gets a better player. Knicks want players with at least some upside and 2 smaller contracts are easier to deal with. Rockets likely add a 1st in this situation

2 smaller contracts? The guy I see being mentioned is Crabbe. He makes just as much as Ryno.

    1. In today's space and shoot league, Ryno is a good fit offensively on any team that is playing catch up. For a team like Blazers who aren't going anywhere soon, it's a good way to stay "competitive".

    2. Ryno is NOT a bad PF. He's not a great PF, but people need to stop acting (not saying you are, just CF in general) like he is some sort of complete scrub.

Yeah....those are some bad contracts...... would you rather have the better player (Anderson) or have your bad contract split in two with the hopes that you can move one or the other.

You wouldn't be wrong for thinking that.

Amen. I can understand the negative perception from Rocket fans since he crapped out in the playoffs and the bad taste is still fresh, but at the end of the day that was only 12 games. I do want Melo because he raises our ceiling, but if for some reason we keep Ryno, I can almost guarantee CP3 will make him earn that contract. If CP3 can get Redick paid $20m, he can get Ryno to earn his.

I personally would rather have Anderson. Because I think Leonard is a lost case and one horrible contract.
But I see some ppl have other opinions which is understandable.
But PDX wants to make the playoffs. Anderson helps much more than both of them.

Anyway judging from this source it's possibly unfortunately bullcrap. :(

Exactly. I agree with parting ways if it means melo or a star but some wanna ditch him for peanuts even if we cant get anyone else.

He has value and a lot to offer. If we cant upgrade then we absolutely need to keep him

Ryno is definitely a useful player even if his contract sucks (at least during the regular season)...I only wanted him gone if it meant that PG13, Millsap, or Melo was coming
