It's supposed to be a compliment but as you said, who else is there? Sun Yue? Yi Jianlian? Wang Zhizhi? OK....
Far be it from me to question Bima, but the Warriors are at $131 million, so how are the Rox hard capped at $125 million?
There is a "Kevin Durant is a beta b****" provision in the CBA that allows for the Warriors to spend more money.
We are hard capped because we used the full non-tax payer version of the MLE. Doing so means we cannot cross the apron no matter what during the season. The Warriors on the other hand limited themselves to the tax payer MLE and are not doing any sign and trades. They are therefore NOT hard capped.
Does this prevent from the Rockets from using the NG's and Nanu in a "TE"? If yes, then how many players are officially on the roster? A minimum of 14 are needed.
No. We have $17 million in space between our current guaranteed salaries and the hard cap. We could use the bi-annual exception, the NGs/Nanu and/or minimum salaries to continue to add to the roster. All combinations of those cannot exceed the hard cap. So we still have room to grow if we want to.
It's basketball, their have been some thin ballers that have held their own. Qui has potential, he has some nice offensive skill. It may take time tho.
I understand what you are saying, but a bit confused after reading Bima's post stating that the Rockets are hard capped after the Tucker and Qi signing.
