Technically true but the key is what Morey said in the BS podcast. Basketball is not conducive to upsets even in Bo1 situation and nearly impossible in Bo7. Even if we did close a big gap it still may just mean 1-4 instead of sweep. ReaLly at this point everyone else is just hoping for Warriors injuries as the only true way to even the playing field

Yeah I wouldn't say "closed" the gap... I would say inched the gap a little closer.

Everyone will compare their team to the Warriors because basically you have to beat KD and Curry to get to the championship, which is pretty much every team's goal.

You are a better team than last year that's for certain. You still have your shooters and good depth and you've added arguably a top 5 PG ever that is in his prime. And Tucker and CP3 are defensive studs as well.

I don't think we can compete with GS right now though.

Flip Melo for Anderson and then the gap is closed. 3 stars plus Nene, Capela, Gordon, Tucker and Ariza? I think we would have the best chance in the league against them.

 

Meh, 8 man rotation with several players who have been injury prone in the past, I just don't see it. I hate hearing that 8 man rotation is enough, I would like some more solid reliable pieces. Hell I don't care if it's Vince Carter, get me a few more actual rotation players Morey.

I see where the delusion stems from

 

As long as Ryan Anderson can go home to his hot young fiancée at home (wife by now?), he'll continue to shoot -19% in the playoffs at the Toyota Center. Thus our weak link. We need to improve our bigs. Maybe he knows this. He used to be big-centric after we had Yao; he chased after Dwight. Now having learned his lesson, he went out and got shooting; but are Nene and Capela enough down low?

 

That is fine but Morey has been very annoying with his quotes.

"We have something up our sleeves.."

The Warriors team just annihilated everyone in the playoffs including Lebron-Kyrie-Love trio that was in top form while we got wrecked by the team that got wrecked by Warriors that was missing their best player.

As for the sleeves talk, yeah he added Chris Paul but he has pretty much failed on moves since then while OKC has added significant pieces and Timberwolves has been on a roll.

I would say the Thunder and the Wolves have closed the gap even more than we have uptil this point.

Just shut and up and do the work behind the scenes. You dont need to put a target on your back with these shout outs. Warriors will take special pleasure in dismantling us every time we meet.

 

Triple chin needs to shut up and stop talking about the Warriors. Just look ahead to the Spurs first and look behind to see OKC and Wolves who could step up.
