That actually looks really good. If he can hit that consistently, that's an automatic two whenever a score is badly needed.
Rockets better showcase the hell out of all of their young players this summer league. Doing so with Donte Greene helped elevate his value for the Ron Artest trade. Harden needs to play in summer league to feed the young guys the ball.

Not only do I like the shot, I love how smooth his form is for a seven footer. If they don't put stupid restrictions on his game he might actually have unicorn potential
They need to let him develop to his strengths. If he can knock down an 18 footer , let him take it. If you pigeonhole a guy into only taking 3's and layups , his efficicency might increase , but his top end versatility won't. Personally I want my bigs to be able to run the PnR from all spots on the floor and be a threat to pick and pop from midrange . I want him to get the ball in the high post facing up and be able to shoot , pass , or drive. I don't want to limit players options , then the game collapses and the defense can know what's going to happen. I like this kid. 7 footer with some good touch and decent lateral ability. The vertical explosiveness might not be there, it may never be. If his skill gets high enough and he can reach a baseline physical level , he can find a niche. We have 3 guys right now with more bulk to bang in the paint ( Clint, nene, onu) let him play his game . Frankly we should do this with everyone .
