Summertime- what's some cool things to do in houston/galveston?

    I feel like I've done mostly everything in houston/Galveston but I'm running out of ideas on places to take kids to lol
    Schlitterbahn is on the list but I'm hoping for some suggestions maybe something I've never heard of that would be cool and kid friendly. I live an hour south of houston so not fully familiar of everything going on in the city.

    So any suggestions?

    Houston and Galveston are totally diff animals. Family friendly??... that's tough cause the best of Houston and Galveston is food and drink but I'll see what I can come up with-

    Galveston:
    -moody gardens
    -sea wolf park/ferry ride
    -pleasure pier (kind of expensive)
    -teach them how to surf in the spring and fall when there are some knee to waist high waves (surfside is generally better and less Brown)
    -get a boat and start fishing the bay
    -the strand

    Hou-
    -Astros games
    -Dynamos games
    -tons of great museums
    -Hou zoo
    -See what is playing at Theatre district

    1. Definitely go to Schlitterbahn
    2. Ride the rides on the Pleasure Pier
    3. Do lines of coke in the bathrooms at Stewart Beach
    4. Rent bicycles and ride them along the seawall

    With the rising sea level and massive beach erosion Galveston is pretty much completely submerged during high tide.
