Subtle sarcasm? If so, well done. If not? Sparking controversy! Tree stumps to the left of us, Tree stumps to the right of us, On, the 43,000! (Morey or Les)
I believe it was when I use one too many unacceptable words around these parts. Funny thing is people write worse stuff now.
To be fair he never said that Troy Williams was better than PJ Tucker. He said he would rather have him. I disagree with that, but the reactions on here would make one think Tucker is a perennial all nba player and future HOF... Williams is only 22 and showed some potential last year. He could turn into a nice player. Tucker is 32 and he is what he is. A solid role player.
Tucker has been extremely over hyped on this board for a few years. Solid defensive player, not a good offensive player though he has a respectable 3 point shot. It's his toughness that endears him to fans.
Can someone explain to me how he is a FA but is playing on the Rockets summer league team? I'm not exactly sure how that works.
You don't need to be on a contract to play on a particular team in summer league. Some players play for 2 different teams in the Summer league, orlando, utah, lvs. It's basically a camp try out for most of these undrafted FA guys
Makes perfect sense to me. Because this team doesn't need an established veteran who provides a tough defensive presence and can help convey that mindset to the rest of the team while nailing all the open corner threes he's going to suddenly see in this offense. No, what we need is a non-D guy who has struggled to hang on at the NBA level and can be counted on to provide that unreliable offensive boost we so miss now that Corey Brewer is gone.
PJ Tucker is to Troy Williams what Patrick Beverley is to Tyler Ennis. Fact. Out of these 4 players, Troy has the smallest basketball brain by a good margin.
Did you read my post or did you just feel like bashing? I clearly stated I disagree with that sentiment and I do like PJ Tucker. I can simply see the other side of the argument bc I'm not a horse with blinders on.
Would hate to lose Williams, I feel lile we should have 3 guys who can play each position in case of injuries, good depth would be starter (3Za), bench (Tucker) and then end of bench dude (Troy Williams). Williams has shown a lot of hussle in the last few game he reminded me a lot of Corey Brewer except he had a working jumpshot. We really only hated Brewer because he was making 7M and played too much minutes, if he came at vet min and was the 3rd string guy he would be a great asset for the team he brought a lot of energy and was a positive influence.
I was a big fan of Brew - - except when he actually had the ball in his hand. Tho there were two hothothot games, eh?!!
