Suns Diaw was one of the best passing PF's in the league so despite his age, one thing he can still do is pass the ball.
hi Asian Sensation, Yes I agree with you that the Rockets could use the services of Tim Hardaway Jr. He's listed as 6'6 so he can use his size to drive to the basket. Losing Lou Williams(trade for Chris Paul) was huge as Lou Williams can create his own shot. The Rockets lost a home game to the Hawks because of Tim Hardaway Jr's timely shots plus solid play and rebounding from Dwight Howard. They came from behind to beat the Rockets. I think Tim Hardway Jr is a restricted free agent. Instead of Mareese Speights though, I would rather choose the services of a more prototypical forward -- one who rebounds and blocks shots -- someone who can clog the lanes. I hope Daryl Morey would seriously consider Willie Reed who played for the Miami Heat as backup to Hassan Whiteside. With the trade of Dwight Howard, the Atlanta Hawks are looking to Willie Reed as a potentially low cost replacement for Dwight Howard. So I wish Daryl Morey would sign Hardaway Jr and Willie Reed instead of Mareese Speights. http://hoopshype.com/storyline/willie-reed-free-agency/
I thought he was solid. Sure he got away with a few fouls but that is how the playoffs are officiated. Hence us losing Nene killed us. I believe with Nene's toughness we would have played better.
with everyone hung up on dreamcasting a Melo to Houston scenario, here are a few guys not named Melo that are available and can really help this team: Jae Crowder Avery Bradley Kelly Olynk CJ Miles Jamychal Green Willie Reed K. Caldwell Pope Mirotic adding any of these players would help Houston. I didn't mention Smart because i can't understand why getting a shooting guard who can't shoot helps our team. have folks actually watched this guy play?
fyi, as of 7/5 8:33AM, this is a pretty complete list of who's left out there, potential bargains or otherwise: Guards Rotation Rajon Rondo Derrick Rose Deron Williams Brandon Jennings Ty Lawson Ramon Sessions Raymond Felton Sergio Rodriguez Tyler Ennis Shelvin Mack Jamal Crawford???? Fringe Trey Burke Aarong Brroks CJ Watson Isiah Canaan Jarrett Jack Wings Starter Kentavious Caldwell Pope Rotation Rudy Gay Dion Waiters James Johnson CJ Miles Tyreke Evans Gerald Henderson Tony Allen Luc Mbah a Moute Nick Young Thabo Sefolosha Andre Roberson Tim Hardaway Jr Jonathan Simmons Shabazz Muhammad Vince Carter Jeff Green Arron Afflalo Matt Barnes Mike Dunleavy Jr Ian Clark Monta Ellis ????? Bigs Starter Nerlens Noel Rotation Pau Gasol Dewayne Dedmon Andrew Bogut Ersan Ilyasove Jonas Jerebko Marreese Speights Willie Reed JaMychal Green Kelly Olynyk Mason Plumlee Nikola Mirotic Alex Len Alan Williams Aaron Baynes Dante Cunningham Mike Muscala Javale McGee Tyler Zeller Anthony Tolliver David Lee Boris Diaw
Lee can't defend a lick. Harris is ok. I like Ian Clark, but Gerald Henderson is better. He would be a good insurance for Gordon, but why would he want to come for such few minutes?
I do have interest in Willie Reed but now I question where he gets minutes unless it's when Nene is taking a game off.
Thabo Sefalosha or Luc Mbah a Moute would be interesting guys for the minimum. Both can play defense and shoot the 3 ok (Moute was good last year, could be a fluke.) Neither a sniper though. Sefalosha a legit defensive stud in DBPM.
Really think they are looking at Onuaku for those minutes. I'm curious which direction we go at our 4th guard spot. Do we want an experienced floor general ala Prigioni, who likely won't get any minutes vs Golden State, or do we want more of a combo guard who can play alongside Harden/CP3? If the former, I could see: Sergio Rodriguez Deron Williams If the later: Arron Afflalo Ian Clark
If all the rumored stuff happens for the Clippers, here is their potential team: Derrick Rose/Beverly Austin Rivers (lol)/Lou Williams/allen Gallinari/Tony Allen/Dekker Blake/Gallo/Dekker/Harrell Jordan/Harrell Very interesting combination of players. Lots of names that people know. Lots of veterans. Could be a playoff team, could be a disaster. Dekker is going to be fighting for minutes. Poor guy thought he was going to get a major shot as a full time SF (his natural position he says)
