I think there is a high probability Boris Diaw gets waived. Wouldn't that be the ideal player to join our team? Fills the position we need help at, probably isn't looking to get paid and is familiar with D'antoni.

Sorry maybe "high" wasn't the correct word. But I'd still say there is a good chance. His contract only has $3 million guaranteed if he's waived, and Utah will probably look to add a free agent for big money so they will probably need that space.
I will be shocked if nobody offers him at least the full MLE. I'm not sure why Morey should go after these two guys since they play in the spots we're more deep. Smart would be better since he can play as a fake PG like Beverley, but i don't think we have the assets to get him...
Getting Diaw (PF/C) and Barbosa (PG/SG) for the minimum would be pretty great to extend the bench actually. They both played with MDA...maybe there's a chance.
Yeah for sure. Was thinking about Barbosa too when I saw he was released the other day. I don't like his game but as our 4th guard I'm definitely good with him. Paul / Barbosa Harden / Gordon Ariza / Tucker Ryno / Diaw Capela / Nene / Onuaku I feel Onuaku is going to see the floor a decent amount with Nene probably not being available for every game. I'm ok with this line-up with the hopes that we pick someone up along the way (definitely would like to see Melo come here).

Didn't Chris Bosh stop playing because he has a heart problem? Carmelo Anthony? Please don't mention Carmelo -- even Nene shared his experience playing with Carmelo. Why not consider an up-and-coming Willie Reed?
