One year to match LBJ & CP3?

BTW - - think LBJ may have been in CB's ear to NOT take the Cavs rebuilding er GM job?

Too bad we can't throw money at KCP; i think he's a future star. I doubt Detroit can match.

This is what i think too. i think LBJ's bags are packed and it's the worst kept secret in the NBA. he wants to finish up as the first player to lead 3 different teams to a championship. And i think he thinks he's done his penance in Cleveland.

If Houston positions itself well in case it will need to be with Melo. Would go after LeBron with everything I can and would not even think about the luxury tax. We have to do good in the playoffs and cannot take any elimination games off.

From the very beginning I've been of the mindset that CP3 and Melo want to play together. It is time.

doesn't one of the big three actually have to already be on the team for it to work with the salary cap and players' salary expectations? I think so. Kyrie was already on the team. Dwayne Wade was already on the team. Klay and Steph and Green were already on the team.

yeah I don't think you can clear 3 max salary slots without having bird rights to at least one of them.

They got surprised by the Knicks firing Phil Jackson at the last minute. I think CP3 came over cause they had a trade with the Knicks in place. Dolan firing Jackson screwed it all up.

I haven't heard much people speak about this so I'll bring it up here. Maybe it's just speculation on my end but it seems a bit odd from my POV.
Melo has requested a trade to HOU and if he's bought out will join CLE, why? Why not join HOU in a buyout? Why does it have to be a trade to HOU and a buyout to CLE?
I've come up with one reason. Melo KNOWS LBJ will NOT stay in CLE after this season and doesn't want to be the Lone Ranger stuck in CLE for another year after Bron bolts. So instead he will go to CLE after his buyout to help Bron try to win a ring (which I doubt he can) before they BOTH leave for HOU or LA to play with CP3 (once he's eligible for an extension) and The Beard.
On Melo ONLY wanting a trade to HOU; is because he knows SOMEONE is going to have to sacrifice money IF he, LBJ, CP3, and Harden choose to team up next season and Melo seems to NOT want to be that guy (yes a bit selfish but that's who Melo is).
I wouldn't be surprised if this team stands pat as is and sees how far they can advance this coming season with its current roster before making a move for Melo.
I thought I'd never say this but I honestly think LBJ, CP3, Melo, and Harden will be teammates in HOU by the start of 2018-2019 season.

Very good evaluation. I didn't even think why that was the case but it's very likely why he had those preferences. I'm not sure if we can do all those contracts but I would do a sign and trade with harden for Lebron if we had to. I definitely see the banana boat forming since that's the only way to possibly take down GSW

^interesting, I kind of feel like if LBj will come here I would feel the Rockets become a sloppy second team, it would feel so much better if we actually "go at those guys"

The amount of confidence that some have about Melo (codman, Dudley) coming here makes me uneasy. Good things can't happen to the rockets right!?

I would keep expectations low so you don't lose it when it doesn't happen.
