It only takes two to get a negotiating war and there are two involved.

Just curious - - if CM7 were bought out then which door does he choose? I guess Roxtown because LBJ (allegedly) won't be in Cleavesburg the following season.

what does it matter what LBJ will do next season? If he's bought out he will only sign one year deal anyway. And next season it's much more likely that the team between the Rockets and Cavs who can give him the better opportunity to make it to the finals is the one that plays in the East.

Not necessarily. After being nearly swept in Cleveland, LBJ might take a chance with the Rockets, but we will have to overachieve.
    No flame outs will do.

Have you seen how mant star caliber players have gone west this FA. No one seems to care about the east being the easiest path. Everyone seems to be joking who they think can help them bear GS

I wasn't talking about LBJ the season after next. I was talking about Melo if he's bought out next season.

This is stupid argument... the road to the finals goes thru GS... doesnt matter when you play them... you will have to eventually.

Or you mean..the two games of the regular season.

Hayward to Boston, hopefully that gets the dominoes to start falling and facilitate a Melo deal now.

Really frustrating to see the Kings take on ZBo into cap space. I think that takes the Kings out of the running as a 3rd team to take on Anderson in a Carmelo trade.

What other teams make sense, now?

I just want to note that the Rockets don't need to trade Ryan Anderson for nothing. In fact, they wouldn't even want to trade Anderson for nothing. More likely the Rockets are looking at trading him for a large expiring or perhaps even a 2 year contract so the Knicks don't feel as much burden on the cap going forward.

The team facilitating a Melo to Houston trade that involves Anderson likely gets a 1st round from us and sending NY a player with a shorter contract. The Rockets may also sweeten the deal by taking on Courtney Lee's deal with our expirings. This is of course assuming NY wants to move on from Melo and isn't asking for a serious return.

Who do they move? Drummond ($23.775M) or the Harris/Morris combo ($16M+$5M)?

i'm sure they prefer the cap flexibility of a 2-yr deal w/ Zbo at half the price vs 3 yrs with Ryan Anderson
