Looking at the roster right now: Paul/??? Harden/Gordon Ariza/Tucker Anderson/??? Capela/Nene Assuming another Star piece (Carmelo), some depth pieces (combination of 3/D players and slashers), and all of them meshes well together, I don't think we are clear favorites over the Warriors but it's closer than last year. ASSUMING all that happens. As of now, we are probably 3rd after GSW and SAS in the West. Unless proven otherwise, we aren't better than the Spurs IMO.
without Melo, it would still be pretty tough for us to beat San Antonio, and we'd get destroyed by GS with Melo (assuming we still manage to keep Gordon, Ariza, and Capela), we have a pretty good chance of beating Cleveland in a series and could be a real challenge for GS
I think my English is not good enough and I probably confused everyone. I'm sorry for that. Please bury this thread, leave it alone. I will back when I'll improve my skills. This forum is great, CY.
I'm indifferent, I don't think we or any other team can get past the Warriors, that's a given. But I still like to watch us compete and win as many games as possible, I enjoy playoffs basketball even if we get swept by GS.
This team has less chance on wining championship than Thunders, Timberwolves or even 76ers. I am not even talking about Spurs, Cavs or GSW.
Its just too early to make that assessment right now. We wont even know our final roster till fall, and wont know how well our parts fit till January.
Where's the option of me just enjoying having a really great team and let the offseason/season play out.
Nah, your English is fine, especially for a non-native speaker. Keep posting. I like your threads. The poll seems kind of pessimistic because it compares us with other teams and asks whether we can beat them. However, I think that's actually where the league is at the moment: Which teams can you beat? It's not as general as "Oh, we can win a championship or only get to the WCF or it might take another year." It's about specific teams. Keep on posting.
Im still interested to see what happens with LMA. San antonio is a bit of a question mark right now to me. Manu might retire. Parker not back to january at earliest and might never be the same. Simmons still isnt signed.
I don't understand how people still think the Spurs are better than us after us now having Chris Paul
