    Well that was my point.

A guy who is desirable is easier to find a suitor for. There are reports that that teams have flat out said they didn't want him.

Not to mention if the Rockets were in awe of his shooting percentage they wouldn't be trying to move him in the first place.

Rockets have to learn that's it's ok to go into the luxury tax to win sometimes and stop letting other teams beat them at pulling in big names I really feel they half ass sometimes

We are trying to move him for a superstar. If there were no superstars available, we wouldn't be trying to move him.

You guys are delusional to think Ryno has any form of positive trade worth.

If we wanna dump him for Melo we gotta include Ariza or Gordon. Simple as that.

Not gonna happen so say goodbye to Melo, which to me is the best news of the offseason. That and not getting Blake Griffin!!

Hooray! Lets celebrate whiffing on a possible superteam, wasting another year of Hardens prime! Yeah, we're good, but we gotta match the Warriors. So if we whiff on Melo, I say this offseason didn't change our chances of winning a title.

That's fine. But I am sure if trading Ariza can get us a star player in return, Morey will pull the trigger in a heart beat.

What I am saying is that in terms of improving the team, Ariza is much more dispensable than Gordon under current circumstances.

I understand, but it might piss off Chris Paul to the point where he not only doesn't re-sign here, but a part of him checks out during the season and stifles our team success as a result of the friction created from the situation. Yes, on paper Ariza is more dispensable than Gordon, but Anderson is easily the best contract to get a star player out of because it carries so much weight in terms of cap space. Any deal involving Ariza or Gordon for a star player would almost guarantee other crucial pieces on the team go with them to make the contracts work for a star's contract. Frankly, we're at a point where Anderson is the only guy we could conceivably trade otherwise we might not be getting that much better overall as a team. It also seems that the only place Anderson could go would be a rebuilding team that has a good chunk of cap space available.

I come in peace from the tri-state area. Just came to lurk about your fan bases potential interest in Melo and see that there's some opinions of him that have been formed.

I've watched him most of his Nuggets career and all of Knicks career and Syracuse year. If you guys really want some insight I'd definitely be of assistance just shoot me any questions as I do not want to step on any toes and start a shouting match.

The problem is that Melo isn't a real star player. I'm sure if we were talking about someone better, Ariza would be in play but for Melo, I wouldn't even consider adding anyone to the deal aside from Anderson and non-guaranteed guys. If they don't like that, they can take what the Cavs will offer or they can do a buyout.

Look I we don't know exactly what the Rockets want but reports earlier were that they were willing to trade Anderson simply to create space. It was reported that they simply "made him available" and did not get any takers.

Yes they are trying to get Anthony now, but that was not the case when they put him on the block.

One name that came up in talks was Ryan Anderson, per sources. But the Knicks said at that time that they weren’t interested in Anderson, who has been shopped around by the Rockets.

I think if that's true and it really will take "weeks" the Rockets will walk away. The non-guaranteed guys have to be used before that point which means the Knicks will just have to settle for whatever Cleveland is willing to throw their way or do a buyout.
