Do they really need another PG? Eric Gordon can (and should) fill almost all of the minutes whenever CP or Harden gets a break. And then we can bring Bobby Brown back at the minimum to be the spare tire. Wouldn't mind having one but doesn't seem all that urgent a need.
Currently have 3 legit NBA guards. Would be nice to have another guard in case 32 year old Paul can't give you 82 games
Seems likely to be expensive. If he signs for the bae great, but I doubt it. I'm talking about a "break glass in case of emergency" type guard that can run the point.
I'd like another big body at the 5 but Capela/Nene/Onuaku isn't terrible. But another PF is definitely a need. They've got Anderson and who right now? Cameron Oliver? Maybe get someone like Brandon Bass to back up Anderson (or Melo/Love....)????
Gallo would get a max deal from someone if he wasn't hurt so often, there is a 0% chance he would take the Bi-Annual. He's gonna get 20 million/yr
my pick is CJ miles. great shooter. decent on D too, which most great shooters aren't. even though it looks like we need a backup PF, tucker and ariza will spend some time at the 4. there will always be room in the rotation for a shooter like miles or young. after that we need CP3 insurance (another pg), and nene insurance (rim protection). we can trade the NG contracts to fill those needs if they're not used to help facilitate a melo trade.
Agree that a big would be nice l. I like Reed. If not, Miles is OK but might not move the needle much. MCW for BAE might have been nice
CJ Miles and Arron Afflalo can both get more than the BAE elsewhere. They'd need to be pretty excited to play with us to take that offer, but I'd definitely welcome either one. Am I missing a joke with the Gallinari mentions?
I think backup PG and PF are the biggest needs Stab at the current 15 Paul/Brown Harden/Gordon Ariza/Tucker/Williams Anderson/Uthoff/Hartenstein/Oliver Capela/Nene/Onuaku/Zhou
