We still may be there with or with paul millsap lol. And in five years Ryan Anderson will be Millsaps age, still making less than Millsap.

I never said let's waive the white flag, but you guys act like Ryan Anderson is holding us back from beating them. Read my above post. Millsap would not be the difference.

Iirc, ryan anderson was the sole reason we beat them once last season.

Lol, but he still took over 200 more three-pointers than the next highest pf/c.

If you say so...we'll see when we'll basically play 4 on 5 cause he'll shoot 20% at home in every playoff game again if you are going to change idea.

Millsap as a 3rd option would be the best 3rd option in the league apart from GSW. No other team I can think of right now has better 3rd option.

He is a 2 way player, who can do everything. His carreer trajectory also is weird so its not likely he will get much worse in the next 2-3 years.

But if we were third last year with ryan anderson, and we got better, then we can still be second. I agree Paul Millsap would be better than Ryan Anderson, but let's not ignore the fact that he is aging and his shooting numbers have dipped.

Just check how well harden plays next to a stretch big and without. His best season was next to an elite stretch, and his worst on was without one. Guys like Patrick Patterson, Ryan Anderson, and even donatas all helped harden have great seasons by keeping one big out of the paint so harden could operate. We have tried to compensate by running smalls at the 4 (ariza, parsons, mook) and forcing set up shooters like jones to stretch the floor when teams could easily close out because his shot took so long to get off.

"Sole reason" is a bit strong.

He did come up big though.

KD not playing is the sole reason we won that game

    Did he?

I thought we beat GSW in OT when KD was out.

Kevin Durant played and dropped 39 as the leading scorer. We ended the warriors 12 game win streak thanks to anderson

They went on to beat us the next three though

C'mon Morey, if you are going all in, get Millsap!

The difference I guess is that you think that Anderson just had a bad year and will get better while I see Anderson as a ticking bomb who is about to go in his 30s and another injury waiting to happen.
And THEN he will be even more untradeable.
Plus according to ur logic, we will be wasting another year of Harden's prime while CP3 is our FA.

What's the point in all of this???

So you're just going to ignore how Paul Millsap shot 31% from three in the last two seasons ever since he has been over 30? Teams will cheat on 31%, they will not cheat off of over 40%

Haven't heard anything about Millsap. Are we really talking to him?

You will ignore how Anderson can't defend a chair and teams are targeting him in the playoffs? Rolling the Red carpet to the basket.

He did well against LaMarcus Aldridge who normally torches the rockets. Hes a decent post defender. He's not a bad at pick an roll defense like you make it seem. Oh yeah, aldridge did torch the Rockets last playoffs. But that was because we lost nene and we were forced to guard him with James Harden.

He is an offensive player though. He provides offensive rebounds and tip ins. No more are the days of running Beasley, Josh Smith, morris, Terrence Jones, etc, at the power forward and watching them get the ball after harden gets doubled and either thinking about what they want to do pr jacking up a three and bricking it.

No more are the days of forcing undersized guys like Delfino, ariza, parsons, garcia, etc. at the 4 and getting abused on the boards and in the post on defense
