High percentage landing Paul Milsap to the Rockets according to ESPN

Check the stats. Ryan Anderson only had five or six bad games in the playoffs of the 11 and we won four of them. Get over it.

He still provides spacing when he's out there.

 

We should be all over that.

 

i won't be disappointed if we end up having to hold onto Anderson because his shooting and length are a real asset to us on the floor. But we still need to find a way to add quality front court defense and rebounding if we miss out on Milsap.

 

Well, that's fair enough i guess, also cause there's still a chance to get Melo if he gets bought out.

And i don't think people really like to hate on Ryan, he's a cool dude, seems really hard to hate on him, it's just that he's not that good, not enough for what this team is trying to do.

 

If he was a above average defender with some athleticism i guess i'm asking for too much huh. All these athletic 4's in this league today.

 

Anderson is a horrible long contract, and is often injured. This year was a good year for him because at least he didn't miss games.
If next year as usual for him, he misses games, then what you gonna say?

Last time I heard of him was when i was on the 7 day free trial to _holic insider news letter. It said Cole Aldrich is a starting center in this league and better than Capela

He is not the best shooting big man because he is inconsistent. Also he is a negative on all other aspects. He is also an achilles heel because the best teams in the West have killer frontcourts, they dunk all over Anderson's ass and grab all the rebs and MDA is forced to let Ariza or Harden defend the pf slot which is ridiculous. And he didn't even shoot well in the playoffs only shot 28% from 3 while being useless on rebs and defense.

I am ok with giving Anderson another chance since we got Nene and Tucker but honestly Millsap is 3x the player he is.

 

But he is not, and he still does a fair job on the glass and on defense. Aldridge did not cook him.

 

Statistically, he is the best shooting big man. You just expect him to make it every single time because that's his job right, but no one can do that.

 

And what are we trying to do exactly? We finished third in the NBA last year with Ryan Anderson, what exactly do you guys want?

 

So Sacramento wants Gallo. Okay. No chance of taking Anderson.

My only big problem with Anderson is not his contract (it's a problem but for a team that needs his shooting, it's manageable), it is his reluctance to shoot the damn ball.

How many times this season did we see him pump fake - pass the ball when he had a totally open three point shot? Like dude, that is your shot that we are paying for you to take - shoot the damn ball! If you miss, oh well we will get another shot for you - just keep shooting!

That problem amplified in the playoffs when he lost confidence in his shot. You could play Anderson even when other teams are picking on his defense if he is taking/making shots - when he stops shooting all together is when he becomes totally unplayable.

One reason I would prefer Melo in the place of Anderson is that I know he will shoot the ball. He won't go a playoff game only shooting 5 times.

 

How much better can we get is the better question. Finish second? That is realistic. Make it to the wcf? That was realistic had we not lost nene. Losing to the warriors? Was and still is realistic.

Injuries to our big men really cost us and can still cost us going forward.

 

Add Millsap on this roster and you have the second best team in the league only slightly behind the Warriors, isn't that enough?

 

oh so we should just wave the white flag since it's not likely to beat the warriors? Then why sign Chris Paul in the first place? We can't get much better, right?

 

Kill him for not wanting to shoot when his shot is off and kill ariza for shooting regardless of results.
