They have worse roster than Warriors, Spurs, Rockets, Thunder, Jazz, Grizzlies and about the same as Blazers, Nuggets and Pelicans.
the only clear teams ahead of minny are gsw spurs. 3-5 goes bw the rockets, okc, and minny right now. utah without hayward is not a playoff team. and they clearly have a better team then the rest of those named
I think the wolves can get as high as the 5th seed out west but their lack of perimeter shooting will keep them from getting any higher or better for now. Solid team they've put together the past few seasons
Wolves got a good mix of promising young talent, experienced veterans..surrounding a 2-way superstar in his prime with a good coach.
Nice lineup, but think they needed shooting at that 4 spot, plug in Anderson there would've been crazy. Thibs should've took him gave us a 2nd
Top 2-3 in the West? What? I'd be incredibly shocked. Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson aren't going to lead to a 25-30 win increase.
I mean in addition to that. It raises their ceiling tremendously, but they are probably the same or slightly worse than last year. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they shouldn't have done it this move actually puts them in contender possibility by adding another star but as is ---I think SA i still better. I wouldn't mind waiting until deadline, but with CP3 this first year I think it's important to show him he didn't make a lateral move with all these other teams becoming much better this yr.
Of the main rotation players, the Rockets have gone from... Patrick Beverley to Chris Paul Lou Williams to PJ Tucker Both fairly obvious upgrades for what we needed, still with the rest of the roster to fill out. I do not see how they are anything but improved, mainly regarding weaknesses that were exposed in the playoffs.
Why is everyone over rating Minnesota? They'll be a low seed and lack of playoff experience will show. Probably similar to this year's Bucks.
Still little shooting and the lack of a bench is a major weakness. Thibs is going to play the staring 5 42mpg and run them to the ground come March.
Really wanted Gibson. Dang it. No shooting, lack of bench. Wiggins doesn't contribute much to winning right now; neither does KAT. Teague is okay; Hill would've been a superior fit if they could've got him. We'll see if Thibs (bit overrated) can finally hone in Wiggins and KAT's potential on defense because that is what's going to elevate the team before anything else. They'll be annoying to play against for sure though with all that length, athleticism, and physicality. Probably fall somewhere between 4-6. Closer to 6 though.
Its not really the seeding but more about the 1-2 less wins you bank in the west compared to the east. This plays with the whole resting players trend during the regular season
