trades are nice but consistency is better. All this trade to win hoopla is getting crazy... Miami does it, so now it's the only way. I like the Spurs model, consistency builds contenders. We may not be able to win the way we are now, but the other guy has a point in saying we have the talent, now we just need to build our chemistry. I'm game for trading here and there to make contracts work and players happy, but it's time to focus on what we have and make it work.... my take at least
I agree that we can't win a championship the way we are playing now, there is no doubt about that. We do have the players to play at and elite level on both end of the floor. I think the biggest thing holding us back is the players just getting used to playing together and Mchales decisions. Hopefully Mchale will open his mind and learn from the mistakes he is making.
8-4 and not even playing their best basketball. last year, the rockets would have lost more of those ugly games. they weren't too great in close games. when the 3's start falling, you are going to see the blowouts of last year.
I'd be excited if we land Millsap but 1. He hasn't met with the Rockets 2. He hasn't met with the Hawks 3. If 1 and 2 does not happen then a S&T can't occur
He knew about a few signings before they happened. I found the riddles a lot of fun. It really sucks that we have to run insiders off the forum because some users are so spoiled that they think the insiders owe them anything. If he wanted to post in riddles he had every right to. Now we get nothing. Great compromise.
Millsap would need to take a paycut and we would need to involve a sign and trade starting with Ryan Anderson. Carmelo can only be had after a buy-out with the Knicks if he were to come.
Without looking I'd guess the difference is between 4 or 5 mil. Probably fits the percentage threshold that allows for a straight swap. I'm willing to bet that a third team would have to be involved to take on Ryno's salary though.
