I think your living in a Rockets fan fantasy world tbh.

We're talking about an all star that avgs 23 ppg and can play and guard every position. Ideally considering the drama, decline and issues with Melo it may seem like a big offer with those things considered but realistically Ryan Anderson alone isn't going to get the deal done and Eric Gordan alone isn't enough to asorb Melos contract

Rockets just need to get there 3 all stars because I'm sorry I still don't think even good depth with CP3 and harden can make it happen with these cheat code warriors

So you'd rather take a playoff exit with Gordan and Anderson?. If we don't get Melo we got to get another star and I'm not seeing many available now this season and CP3 isn't getting any younger

Anthony's has a no trade clause. Being "hopeful" is just a way of conditioning Knicks fans that a trade is happening, and they won't like the yield ont yield much. melo isn't going to approve a trade to anywhere but CLE, HOU, LAL or LAC (I'm including the LA clubs bc he loves LA). Unless there is some unknown desire by the LA teams to deal for Melo, it's CLE or Houston. CLE is only an option if Gilbert approves Love for Melo. This is a waiting game bc there's aren't ton of potential options. NY isn't gonna get much unless they can convince CLE to relinquish Love, and that's assuming LeBron wants to swap love for Melo

Does anyone have anything indicating Lebron wants that?

Crap Melo may end up in Boston. Boston may offer to NY what they offered to Indiana.

Why do you think next three days? Doesn't seem we have anything to offer the Knicks, unless you've heard rumors of Anderson being traded to a team with room thus generating a TPE to absorb Anthony's contract.

    If we trade for him.

If he gets a buyout from the Knicks then I think he goes to Cleveland.

Also, the rockets can offer more than Anderson. We can offer salary relief through the expiring contracts. Ultimately I think that's what happens if it's workable under the cap.

Melo is a cancer and any team he goes to will go no further than 2nd round of the playoffs. He's part of the "diva" generation of NBA players who'd be exposed as a bunch of whiny, disrespectful, self-entitled school kids against the likes of Barkley, Jordan, Payton, Olajuwon, Drex, etc.

Rockets should secure CP3 to a long-term contract and trade Harden for Anthony Davis straight up.

What a joke, im defiantly not gonna base my decision over his drama on the Knicks because to be fair that whole organization is out of control.

Players always create drama in a losing situation, you put Melo on a legit team he gets motivated and winning makes everything better.

You know who was a drama queen and has 5 rings?. Kobe Bryant. Obviously he ain't Kobe but all that drama is petty

Watch out for OKC now...they just lost Gibson and they need a 4, maybe someone able to shoot...Kanter and McDermott for Melo...he would've have to waive his no trade, and i don't see it for OKC, but yeah...Presti is all in taking big risks.

CP3, Harden, and Ariza would handle Melo

players change when they're all of the sudden playing for 1 of the best teams in the NBA and not a joke of an organization

look at how JR Smith changed once he left NY and went to Cleveland

Kanter is one of the most untradeable contracts in the NBA. Makes Ryno look like a bargain

In any of your scenarios remember that Melo controls where he's traded. He's not going to OKC and I doubt he'd go to Boston. I think it's either us or Cleveland if he is in fact traded.

    Lol no.

Shorter and cheaper deal, slightly better player.
