I would rather have melo than love.

Just my opinion

Melo is just a more dangerous scorer and the upside is higher if your goal is to beat golden state.

He can do everything love could on offense but better and would be lethal on the pick and pop or pick and roll with cp3 or harden. Melo catching the ball at the three with the defense scrambling? I'll take that all day melo would score at will.

I like love if its him or nothing sure but if I can get melo I want him more.

imo melo is still the better player even at his age to love.

 

Is it odd that reading that didn't make me throw up in my mouth as much as it should? The thought of bringing Lin back and reuniting him with D'Antoni would actually make some weird kinda sense. And even though he missed most of last season, when he did play, the numbers were the best of his career since D'Antoni's Knicks.

 

While Love is an upgrade over Ryno, just my opinion but why can't we be facilitating a trade for Love to go to NY they wanted him in the Melo deal during the season. Cleveland likely gets Ariza in this deal, Houston gets Shumpart and Melo. BTW Chris is closer to Melo than Ariza. Shumpart may also go to NY and we may be getting something else back from NY.

 

Could Morey be after both Melo and Love? Just a crazy thought Anderson, Gordon, Ariza, Shumpart and Capela or someone with similar salary range mathematically gets it done, but not sure how it would have to work salary cap wise or if I would do it anyway?

 

I think the next target is Milsap (S&T for Andersson and Gorden)

yes, of individuals. not one team trying to win 65 games and a championship. it's called fantasy for a reason. You don't play by the same rules as gms do. it's like saying we should play NBA 2017K to know basketball. It's pretty foolish. It's FAN-ta-sy. Not real. If it was really that special, they'd limit who is allowed to play by something other than whether or not you have a yahoo account.

I used to play. I won almost every year I played. It didn't make me a GM. It was a fantasy, so I quit.

He's actually continued to improve his game and is playing his most consistent basketball in Brooklyn. I remember the circumstances, and why we gave LA a pick to move his salary off our roster, but in hindsight, he wasn't worth trading a pick just to dump him. And we all remember Bosh screwed us anyway.

For me the best thing about getting rid of Lin was the LOF's. Damn those LOF's. Damn them to hell! They were the equivalent of internet syphilis.

If the Rockets can't add Love, Melo or another upgrade at the 4, then I would much rather have Ryno than not have him. It makes zero sense to dump him for nothing, especially because they'll have to give up assets in the process.

 

Hope we get Tucker with the unguaranted contracts.

 

See ...Tucker is helping us play good D already. lol. I hated the sound of that Shumpert deal!

 

I wonder/hope a shump deal with the cavs is used to facilitate a melo to cavs and love to rockets deal.

Really this shouldn't even be a discussion. Shump doesn't fit but if he's the price to get love then I can see why we were even in discussions and why it's "stalled" and not out right closed.
