Beverley is also not listed as SF...... great way to talk down Beverley..... they are not playing the same position. WTH
Have you looked at the suns roster? The whole team are baby aged players. They werent going to win a ton of games even if you added lebron to them
Do you even understand what he is saying? He is saying this is a massive upgrade to Bev on this roster for this season next to CP3.
What? Playing with elite guards who can hit you with timely passes when you're open increased his shooting %? Shocking, will never happen again.
We dun know what the plan is.... it does not matter much any way if we can't get that 3rd star. It all depends on him. Otherwise we are just cannon fodder for GSW and competing against the Spurs, others.
The Rockets were never gonna sign a star using the MLE, that's chump change in today's contracts. All they were ever gonna add were valuable rotation players. Tucker is just that, decent shooter, great defender, high effort. Addresses a hole so this team won't be so dependent on Ariza playing 35-40 minutes all the time. Gonna likely be a bad contract in 2 years, but we are worried about the here and now. Even then, it will still be a fairly tradeable contract.
I didn't "talk down" Beverley. The poster I quoted mentioned Beverley as a young three and D guy that was paid around the MLE. And it's not disparaging Pat to say that PJ Tucker plus CP3 is a better defensive matchup vs Golden State than Beverley and CP3. Neither Bev or CP3 can guard Thompson, they are simply too short. So you can only have one on the court at a time. With Tucker, you can put him on Klay and CP3 on Curry.
He played like garbage for Toronto, overrated D, awful O, Limited skills but he hustles ,very similar to PB
Yeah, I can see where you guys are going but I dun see GSW just being scared of CP3 and PJ Tucker. CP3 is playing 30 minutes due to his age and PJ Tucker hasn't more than 30 minutes for some time himself.
I think that's his point. You can put a lineup out there with Ariza, Tucker, guard, guard Instead of Ariza, guard, guard, guard We played a lot of three guard lineups last year out of necessity. Tucker allows them to play two legit forwards without losing the threat of the outside shot. With Durant and Thompson at the 3/4 you can match up with them better with Tucker/Ariza vs having 3 guards in the game.
We didnt pickup tucker to play more than 30 though. CP3 at 30 is perfect. Harden will handle PG duties when hes not on the floor. We always have an elite facilitator on the floor with shooters.
The East is very easy. I know they are a 2nd round exiter but with the right moves Toronto could be up there with Boston at least. They are just not executing right.
CP3 played 37 minutes in this year's playoffs while averaging 25-10 on 59 TS%, 28 PER against Utah's defense.
