Sounds like we started renegotiating with NYK in terms of Melo because they agreed to a deal with George Hill with cap relief.

I'm wondering how we could help in that sense though, besides the non-guaranteeds... but they were trying to get value for him or so I thought.

Three team trades just seem like the obvious way to get Melo and move Anderson.

Look at OKC as an example. What do you think Ryno would do for their offense and Westbrook/PG? A three team deal with Kanter going to NY and Melo going to Houston sort of makes sense for everyone IMO. Those are the type of deals that make sense to me. The problem is Anderson has little value to a rebuilding NYK, but he does make sense for a ton of playoff teams especially in the West.

Melo to HOU

 

I was just giving an example but yeah that move would make sense for everyone... sorta. Just depends on who they like that could come back in a deal, but if its buyout or getting a nice young player or expiring contracts (if you use Utah as a potential team), its a no-brainer.

What has he ever done outside of the olympics? How many teams has he led on a playoff run in the east? He's not worth it. He's a good player but he's not a leader. He's never shown anything that would prove that he would put us ahead of Golden State. Don't waste the time on him.
