At least we made it that much harder for warriors to keep other guys over the next 3 years lol Dont underestimate that haha
http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/07/...h-andre-iguodala-offer-him-a-three-year-deal/ General manager Bob Myers will be armed with an offer in the range of $13 to $15 million a year. The deal will also include a third year, which is a big deal since the Warriors will have to sign Klay Thompson to an extension that year. Iguodala, who wanted more than the Warriors’ initial overtures, hit the free agency market with a hopes of getting a lucrative offer. The goal is to put pressure on the Warriors to give him more. He met with San Antonio, a meeting he requested, and Houston, who according to Marc Spears of The Undefeated gave Iguodala an offer. The Spurs are one of the league’s most financially savvy teams, and Houston doesn’t have $10 million to offer Iguodala without dumping more salary. So it doesn’t seem that Iguodala procured the big money deal he was hoping.
Yep. sounds like Shump is plan B, but i have to say ...this really is a bit of a head-scratcher given his contract. I don't like the sound of this. Will reserve judgement.
Rockets can offer another year and more guaranteed money. Also forced the Warriors to raise their initial offer. So how was it a waste?
Wouldn't this be banking on the idea that the cap raises. Don't they have to max Thompson and Green in the next two years? Seems a bit much for Iggy right now.
I never thought he was leaving or even really wanted him... he's past his prime and his prime wasn't really all that great imo.
We pulled a storage wars on the Warriors. Bid up the locker and then dropped it on them. This will paint them in a corner with other parts of their roster.
