No thanks. The key selling point is somewhat weakening the Warriors and somewhat strengthening the Rockets. If we SnT, that's gone, and we are giving them an out for their financial situation. Our full MLE is financially worth more than anyone else's full MLE except the Spurs.
Uh dumbo, let's look at what team he came from and where'd he be going to. You think any player on the perimeter here is going to shoot just 1 3? And in GSW, was he called upon to be a big time spot up shooter? Oh wait, no, they had Steph and Klay taking a large vol. Dray even more than Iggy, and if you want to include this last year than Durant also and previously Barnes. So it's absolutely IRRELEVANT..... he's going to be FORCED to be a spot up shooter here. So do you get that? Do you get that we don't AVERAGE a basic amount of 3s here if you're a 26mpg perimeter player? If he plays 26mpg here, he's going to be asked to shoot Ariza volume of 3s(prorated down). That's what we're going to need of him, besides excellent defense. So please understand context here, don't come at me with bullshit.
I think you can shoot that same percentage if you had 4 Allstate drawing attention away from you. Teams literally gameplan to have Iggy and Draymond shoot
I feel like they should let him go and get his payday. I think it's a win-win if traded to Rockets. Just hope he's trying to actually win something and not just pack it up....
This was my 2nd point i was going to present to @ThatBoyNick , but I can't get the first one past him. A little behind in understanding. Volume of 3s demanded to shoot here + lack of that many open looks(due to Steph,Klay, Durant and their free flowing system)= Less efficient shooting. I'd still take him, I just want to know terms. If it's bad, it'd be like Ryno part deux next off-season. If this is done, ship Ryno + 2020 1st protected and get Melo, call it a day. Offer Nene 3 years 15 mil. And let's look for a backup swingman, too. Nene, Gordon, Ariza, one other backup is good enough. A 3rd string C, too, so we can rest Nene and not Chinonku.
Warriors shoot a lot of 3's too. And calling me dumbo after I called you dumb is a very lame come back. Iggy is, and has been a average 3PT shooter over the last 4 seasons. And yes, I'm coming at you with this bullshit.
