We got back CP3 who has been 1st team all defense more than Bev and he's arguably the best defensive PG in the leagues

We actually gave up too much for Cp3 compared to other frachises getting butler and george

How so? Indiana took what they could get for a player who is clearly a rental.

We gave up a couple decent players and a bunch of non rotation players plus scrubs we bought to match salary. The pick is basically a 2nd round pick that requires 1st round money.

No way. We gave up 1 borderline starter in Bev and an older, undersized, streaky combo guard ... the type that always seems to be around (ghost of Bobby Jackson, JET) and 2 young projects that look more like they won't pan out then will that wouldn't have contributed to our team anyways.

I don't know why everyone ***** on the Bulls for their trade. They weren't going anywhere with Butler as the #1 option. Also, Zach Lavine will be a star and he's got superstar potential IMO. Before he went down with his injury he was putting up 18/3.5/3 on 46% fg on a team with other young stars trying to "get theirs" as well. Oh yeah, he's only 22 by the way.

I'm not even gonna discuss OKC.

You guys seems forgot the fact that without Ryan, we probably won't get the 3rd best record overall. He opened the space for James, so that he can have a phenomenal and MDA's offense can operate at such high level. I am not saying that Ryan Anderson is the main reason of our success last season. But I think without him, we probably will battle with Clippers, Jazz with the 3 - 5 spot. We might not see the Chris Paul coming to Houston this summer. Don't forget that Ryan's signing also helps a little bit on getting Eric Gordon. I understand Ryan Anderson's salary is somehow over price. But can't be that bad for you to call Morey a moron for giving Ryno 18-19M salary. Come on, no GM is 100% perfect.

How does Paul backfire? Like, "Oh, if we don't beat GSW, we should have tanked and traded Harden for Ainge's picks while we had a chance."

You guys are so weird to worry about beating GSW or tanking. Paul clearly improved us for years beyond what Bev would have no matter how long he stayed. And I love Bev. I'm serious.

Ryan Anderson isn't a bad player, but you can't have two awful defensive players in your starting five and expect to beat Golden State. The Rockets currently do. So either James Harden develops the passion and motivation to become a true two way star, or you trade Anderson. Melo isn't a good defender either, but he has more foot speed and the body type to be not as much of a liability as a stretch four. Plus, he's a better scorer.

How can anyone blame Morey with a straight face for Ryan Anderson sucking? On paper he was close to a perfect fit and everything we wanted pretty much at the 4 spot when we got him. He was put in the perfect situation to succeed. He didn't. That's on him. Worst case scenario I think Anderson can/will have a bounce back season if we're stuck with him but the thing about Morey is that he's a master when it comes to fixing mistakes or letting guys go that don't perform up to their contracts and getting value back (Ariza first go around, Asik, Lin, Brewer, Ennis etc).

I learned to trust Morey a long time ago. He's a pretty smart guy.

Ryan isn't athletic enough or quick enough to go against a Draymond green. He can Space the floor all day but Draymond green will be there
You have to clear space to sign to make a trade so not really

How does it backfire? Is this a serious question? Here are a few VERY possible scenarios. Harden & CP3 have issues over who takes the last shot after too many Harden late game turnovers, Harden insists its his team and CP3 know his "role", Harden growing frustrated over CP3 telling him what to do, CP3 frustrated at Harden's careless attitude and questioning his leadership, CP3 not happy with MDA's offense and says he wants more shots etc...Given Harden quitting game 6, you never know this guy's attitude towards winning. Combined with CP3's overly demanding obsession with winning. This season could be DISASTEROUS

NY with the desperation play trying to drive up melos value by leaking this. Teams see it as a desperation move, and it hardly ever works. Everryone knows he has a no trade clause.

We need to do this 3 way I live in NY and radio guys said only want expiring for melo

All expiring for a tanking team

    Milwaukee in Ryno and Noah

NY in Mirza and Monroe and NG's

    Hou in MELO

Might need a 4th desperate team for Noah contract...

But this is what I think is preliminary

You think a random trade thought up is preliminary? Are you Morey?

I hear people in hell want ice water. The Knicks are absolutely beggars when it comes to getting rid of Melo given that he's got a full no-trade and he's currently asking to be bought out and is a major factor towards creating a toxic locker room. They just really aren't in a position to make demands.

Dolan does not want to embarrass himself with a buyout or big trade. I don't think his ego will let him feel like he was the losing side of a trade. We need to be prepared to drop Gordon & Anderson or Anderson/Capella(I hope not) if we don't sign Millsap. If we miss out on Melo or Millsap, CP3 will probably leave and we gutted our team and hardens prime for nothing

He may not want to, but he's in a bad spot. If he keeps Melo it could lead to Porzingis wanting out and the whole team falling apart. He can only trade Melo to 2 teams and his only other option is to do a buyout. He sort of just has to take the best offer he's given no matter what he might want.
